Keep the puns coming, but don't let it get out of hand. I'd hate to have a... Rivers of Fight.

It might have gotten shuffled back - here it is again!
Prompt 9
The Penultimate Peril Parade

-Scenario-
This start of the season has truly been a Series of Fortunate Events! With this being the penultimate, a word which here means "second to last," prompt, I feel we should celebrate a great episode filled with truly great contestants, ideas, and hosts (#humblebrag)! And what better way to celebrate than with a parade?

Disney-Festival-of-Fantasy-Parade.jpg

-Challenge-
Armchair Imagineers, your challenge is to create a new parade for Walt Disney World Resort! It can go anywhere BUT the Magic Kingdom. It can be a more traditional parade, a night parade, a play parade, something new that's wild and crazy, whatever kind of parade you want! It just cannot go inside the Magic Kingdom park (unless it is extremely different from current and past Magic Kingdom parades. I'll make an exception for a super creative idea, but other than that nothing in the Magic Kingdom).

-Rules-
You may use between 1 and 3 sentences and up to 1 picture. The deadline will be at 12 noon on Tuesday, March 7th.

And like I said, not in Magic Kingdom unless super creative and new.

-Bonus-
Disney loves to take everything they build and build it again somewhere else. As a bonus, you may use 1 additional sentence to describe where you would add a clone of your parade to one of the other Disney Parks around the world.

The bonus is mostly just for fun and will only effect judging if two ideas are equally good and I need a tie breaker OR if the bonus is exceptionally well done.

-tips-
K.I.S.S - Keep it simple, silly. Try not to over complicate or over think things too much. Focus on the big picture. Don't miss the forest for the trees. All that good stuff.

-Judging Criteria-
Is it creative?
Is it realistic?
Does it fit thematically/visually?

Good Luck everyone! Have fun! Go create!

As always, anyone is welcome to join in. Newcomers, veterans, anyone who wants to propose an idea!

Before this dissolves into Rivers of Trite... here's an idea for DHS:

Disney's Cinematacular Parade
floater.jpg

This new nighttime parade will feature live paraders, performers and dancers along with a series of hi-def panels mounted on floats with clips from famous Disney movies, from Dumbo to Doctor Strange. A high-energy music score will accompany the show, performed nightly at Disney's Hollywood Studios.

World Go 'Round
img054.jpg

A new parade around World Showcase at Epcot will bring back the positive and upbeat energy to the pavilions with a World's Fair inspired parade. Each float will be based on a country in the World Showcase, so there will be 11 floats in all, each designed to represent their country's history. The parade will take place in the afternoon, at 4PM and go all around the World Showcase Lagoon.

Disney Springs Water Parade

Similar to the Water Pageant in the Seven Seas Lagoon -- coming in 2018 will be a full time nightly water spectacle at Disney Springs. As you shop and dine along the promenade, you can gaze over to the water where a dazzling display of pyrotechnics, light, sound, and more will be on display to "Celebrate the Night" (that's the name of the show) The show will last for about 10 minutes and offer a new motive for people traveling to Disney Springs to stay late.

I haven't been joining in the fun so far, but i'll give this a stab if you don't mind.

Mickey's Red Carpet Review
This new parade at Disney's Hollywood Studios will be both an homage to the original beginnings of the park but a fun way to showcase some the park's major attractions. Starting off with Mickey and Minnie decked out for a big movie premier opening, they'll be riding down Hollywood Blvd in an old school classic vehicle, followed by larger than life movie lighting and cameras, Goofy and Donald on a float trying (badly) to work boom mikes, etc and a few other floats with fun movie set props and characters. Intermingled in the parade will be a few floats representing some of the major attractions like a miniature TOT with a interior slide so that the character does the "elevator drop", Chip and Dale driving an AT-AT and the Toy Story gang having fun on a mock up of Midway Mania float.

Disney's Elemental Water Pageant

This new daytime water-based parade at Disney's Animal Kingdom will go around the discovery River, while guests watch from bridges and new audience areas, before a show stop occurs in the Discovery River Theater. Each float is comprised of fountains, fire, fog, and a twig like texture, as four shamans representing the elements work alongside Disney characters to bring favorite stories to life. During the show stop, the element floats all dance around each character float to make them surge with each of the elements to find balance.
