dOn’T dRuNk aNd drIve… wait

@Lord Fozzinator

Oh, dear god in heaven (with my apologies to @ThemeParkPriest ). This is, if you don’t mind me saying, one of the most clinically insane things I’ve ever read. Do you, like, need help? Genuinely? I don’t even know where to start with this. I… hope Chad has a swift recovery.

Community Chest: The extreme literalness with which you took this is beautiful to behold.

Upside-down Journey Into Imagination

@Tegan pilots a chicken

This is very clever! There’s not really a “gag” here, but I suppose the tongue-in-cheek nature of this proposal is a gag in of itself. You’d be fulfilling a lifelong dream of mine to walk through Figment’s house! (I might just be the only person on this planet to actually enjoy this version of the attraction, if for my childhood nostalgia alone)

Community Chest: A fun way to extend the joke into the real world! I’m sure a plurality of viewers will be left wondering what the heck is wrong with their televisions.

INTRODUCING THE SMALL WORLD STREAKER

@Mr. Sullivan

Oh, wow. This is… wow. I like the implication that this animatronic will be far, far bigger than every other one in this ride. What an idea!

Community Chest: It’s Figment’s world, and we’re all just living in it. Will the pictures of him be upside-down?

The Poker Pirates

@Half/CartoonHalf/Human

Thank you for bringing us back to reality here. This would be a wonderful atmospheric addition to this scene. I’d really enjoy seeing this in the ride; it fits right in!

Community Chest: Will the shirt be an ugly blue, splotched with white? Does anyone understand that reference?

Disneyland Railroad Stick-Up

@ThemeParkPriest

I laughed for five minutes when I saw this. It’s such a corny joke, but the sheer simplicity is just so funny to me. I don’t even know what else to say. It left me hysterical.

Community Chest: …hooray?

Epic Deception

@OvertheHorizon

There’s a lovely meta layer to this, which I appreciate! It’s something that Disney would never try, but the wackiness is well-suited to this submission. And hey, you might’ve found a new home for the Epic model once Uni’s done with it!

Community Chest: A fitting button to this joke!

Tomorrowland Spaceport Gate

@PerGron

This is a wonderfully realized replacement for a scene that very much needs it. You’ve nailed down an emphasis on the atmosphere, full of great Easter eggs. I would’ve liked a bit more gag-y-ness, but I’d still cheer if Disney built this!

Community Chest: Yes, please!

FIXING Star Tours

@Lizzy May Bee

So, I’ll admit that I had no idea what this was. Perhaps something from that animated Star Wars spinoff series? Then I looked it up and realized that it was a move I’ve seen multiple times. Egads. Besides the funny factor (which this has in spades), I’m not completely clear on how this new scene would be added (I assume it would be cycled into the randomizer?), but it’s a wacky idea nonetheless!

Community Chest: Yowza!

Babies on Sticks: The Sequel!

@Architectural Guinea Pig

This is very clever! I love the notion of adding characters brandishing sticks to the queue of Toy Story Mania - it’s brilliantly anachronistic. It adds a wonderful throughline to a land that has approximately 0. A solid submission all around!

Community Chest: I’d like one of these cookies, please and thank you!

A Muddy Retreat

@WaltWiz1901

This was pretty late, but hey, these reviews are late too. So I’ll give you points anyway! Back when Test Track 3 was first announced, I played around with some Parklore maps a bit to see if I could fit scenes from World of Motion into the current Test Track layout in a way that told a coherent story. This is pretty much exactly what I did with that section. Great minds think alike!

Community Chest: I’ll take it!

This was an incredibly hard round to judge, as we basically had two classes of submission: more serious suggestions, and outlandish submissions. I wasn’t sure what to put more stock in! I’d like to reiterate that for all of you who submitted more crazy content, I loved reading every word of it. In the end, I decided to alter the top three system a bit to reward what I saw as the joke suggestion that committed the most, while leaving the top slots for the more realistic pieces…

The Thimble
(tie for third)

dOn’T dRuNk aNd dRiVe… wAiT

@Lord Fozzinator

I need to reward whatever this was. Let’s never speak of it again.

The Terrier

Jungle Cruise Plusses

@Brer Panther

This is what I anticipated going into this round. All in all, a very solid submission!

The Automobile

Harold Haunts Hikers

@D Hulk

Another second place for you, Hulk! (EDIT: as I updated points, I realized I gave you third place last round. So just pretend I didn’t write that.) This is another submission that balances the realism with a goofier affect that would provide a complete refresh to make the Matterhorn better than ever!

The Top Hat

Disneyland Railroad Stick-Up

@ThemeParkPriest

This made me laugh the hardest, and thus, it gets the most points. I’m only human! Besides that, this would be an incredibly simple, yet effective, plus to the railroad. There is a - dare I say? - classiness to this that sets it apart.

Tennessee Avenue

A specialty of theme parks old and new is their original characters. From Orange Bird to Figment, from Earl the Squirrel to Captain Cacao to the entire cast of the Country Bear Jamboree (including that bear called Tennessee!), most theme park fans have a tough time choosing a favorite. Your challenge is to follow this tradition!

Create an original mascot for the park of your choice

This prompt is due on Monday the 2nd at 12:00 PM Disneyland Time (PST)

Tips ‘n’ Tricks

Original art of your character (NO AI!!!) is highly, highly encouraged here. Even a rough sketch is fantastic, if you’re not the biggest artist! Cuteness is of course a factor, but a backstory and personality for this character will take priority in the scoring. Literally any park is viable here. Disney, Universal, SeaWorld, Busch, Cedar Flags, independent: go wild!

Community Chest Bonus Point

Devise an original attraction for your park starring this character in an extra sentence!

This was 100% the correct choice. It also had me genuinely laughing at it

Lion.png
Inspired by the iconic lion statue holding a flag that once stood at the entrance way of the park, Bugs Bunny and the other Looney Tunes are joined - but not replaced - as the mascots of Six Flags Great Adventure by LeRoy the Lion (named after the statue's designer Warner LeRoy). LeRoy spends most of his time ruling over the Wild Safari Animal Park, but unlike most cats, he LOVES water, so he can also be found at Hurricane Harbor. But the one thing he loves more than water is the food you can find at Six Flags Great Adventure, a diet of which has made him pretty fat - all the better for giving great hugs!

BONUS: To give LeRoy a bit more presence in the park, the Safari Kids section is now LeRoy's Jumpin' Jungle, with all of the flat rides now themed after LeRoy and his animal friends, a new stage show, and even a dark ride.

The true star of the phrase “Lights, Camera, Action!” - Clappy the Clapperboard is on his way to Disney’s Hollywood Studios! Guests will be able to find Clappy near the park entrance on Hollywood Blvd as he eagerly welcomes visitors to the park every morning! A wide array of Clappy merchandise finds its way into the Studio Store and Celebrity Five and Dime.

Community Chest: Clappy stars in an all new dark ride attraction detailing the process of movie making, which serves as a throwback and summery of the entire original vision for the park!

Jeffery

Jeffery is your run of the mill mosquito that would have landed on you and stick its little mouth into your skin and then give you a horrible DISEASE THAT WILL MOST LIKELY GIVE YOU SO MUCH PAIN AND THEY SHOULD ALL BE EXTERMINATED… anyways (I don’t have a thing against mosquitoes I swear 🙏), Jeffery is the mascot for Animal Kingdom and gives the little guys a little more transportation since the other insects are getting kicked out of their ant hill. Jeffery merchandise would be sold throughout the park in several different outfits, waiting for his next meal (it most likely will be YOU).

Community Chest:

Jeffery stars in an all new dark ride that explores the many different biomes that all sorts of insects live in.

Daw Pizza.jpg

INTRODUCING: DAW PIZZA!

The newest mascot of Disney Adventure World, Daw Pizza (pronounced "Da Pizza" - I'm from Chicago so it rolls off the tongue) welcomes all to the multi-IP'd Pizza that is Disney Adventure World! Whether you'd like a slice of Marvel, a taste of Pixar, or a dash of Frozen snowflakes, Daw Pizza is ready to serve you! Fans will be thrilled (or horrified) when they notice the little Easter Egg on top of Daw Pizza's head, a reference to a defunct icon of another Pizza-fied Park, DHS.

Community Chest:
A new PeopleMover attraction taking you around Disney Adventure World is themed, of course, to Daw Pizza, with a few show-scene transitions between land showing Daw Pizza humorously introducing (in his Chicago-accent) the next land to visit!

Introducing Seymour Seals, an adorable new mascot making a splash SeaWorld Orlando. Don't let his properness and posh style fool you, Mr. Seals is packed full of funnies and factoids about these adorable animals.

(so basically Turtle Time with Crush...)

Introducing the Star of the Show and Hollywood's Hero... FILMORE!!!

Filmore Final.png

Filmore is my concept for an anamorphic film reel for Hollywood Studios, Filmore loves the Movies and dreamt of being a star till one day he found himself with the opportunity to be in "A great movie" (A great movie ride reference)! Filmore then found that once you have a big role fame and Hollywood sort of pop up around but Filmore's kind heart never let him forget that he was once a nobody and wants to support kids with their dreams to success in acting, music, and all the preforming arts! Filmore does have a bit of a temper and sometimes get picky about his movies which just makes him all the more lovable, since he loves movies so much he wanted me to end with a quote from him: "Movies are the greatest thing since... well since forever!" -Filmore #officialunofficialmascotofhollywoodstudios

Community Chest: A studio tour ride where Filmore is showing you his studio as he tries to write, produce, act, and direct in one chaotic setting, despite this Filmore will provide some info in an Epcotist way and will also have the loving features of Figment's mischief and Orange Bird's Curiosity!

(Tegan I promise I was already working on this when you submitted your I don't want you to think i ripped you off)

Sandy the SandSerpent

Named after a defunct ride in Busch Gardens Tampa's history, Sandy is here to show Floridians that snakes aren't that scary. While she may not be making physical appearances in the park (snakes don’t have feet), she can be found on merchandise, park signage, and just about anywhere in the park. Sandy loves adventuring, Florida's climate, and her friends.

Bonus:
Busch Gardens finally gets a much-needed dark ride that explores how Sandy and her friends came to BGT from Africa.

An awkward teen with a cockney accent and rosy cheeks from the East End of London who excels on the rugby field, which is why his friends call him “Super Cal.” He’s an unlikely Disney mascot, until you know that his full name is Cal E. Fragilistic, and when he’s not playing rugby Cal is filled with curiosity and an energetic spirit that lots of Disney fans can identify with. While he may not look the part now, I can envision his face on a future sold-out popcorn bucket.

Community Chest: Super Cal would make the perfect mascot for a British Music Hall attraction as part of the UK pavilion at Epcot with buskers occasionally performing a Mary Poppins’ song with echoes of his name.

Omg I was actually debating between Clappy and a film reel, I’m so glad I went the direction I did!

Filmore is wonderful too!! They’d make a dynamic duo!! 😉

Abby The Augerino At Elitch Gardens
IMG_0207.png

The Augerino is an obscure, wormlike Cryptid that supposedly burrows underneath Colorado, though this particular one, named Abby, has taken a permanent stay above ground as the new mascot at Elitch Gardens, with a large statue of her being erected near the park’s entrance, and plushes and shirts depicting her now being sold throughout the park.

Community Chest: A new coaster simply named “The Augerino”, which will a feature a curvy design reminiscent of Abby’s appearance, will be introduced into the park.
