Alllright, let's get this back on track.

"Yada yada, song about not belonging." (Feeling too lazy to go back and find that thing to copy and paste) :lookaroun

Liberty Street
D!ck Tracy's Crime Stoppers

The answer is D!ick Tracy's Crime Stoppers because it was the only one that did not evolve into an existing attraction. Liberty Street evolved into Liberty Square. Equatorial Africa evolved into Kilimanjaro Safaris. The Western River Expedition evolved into Big Thunder Mountain Railroad

Hint time!

Four attractions are listed, but all vanished early
But one of them disappeared a little more thoroughly
Find the one whose absence left not a trace
and you'll be the one to unravel this case

Oops. You edited your original answer. I didn't see this!

Yes, sir, this is precisely it. :D

"Three of these things belong together.
Three of these things are kind of the same.
But one of these things just doesn't belong here.
Now it's time to play our game.
It's time to play our game."

-Sesame Street, 1969

  • Chip n' Dale's Rescue Rangers
  • DuckTales
  • House of Mouse
  • Gargoyles

One of these things does not belong! Which one is it?

My first quick answer would be House of Mouse because the others use traditional animation...as opposed to computer generated animation.

And it just reminded me how much I seriously need to get DVD copies of Gargoyles! :(

House of Mouse is the correct answer, but the reason has nothing to do with the style of production.

Ok...second guess would be because HoM is a clip show (used as a wraparound to show already established cartoons) while the other three have storylines

House of Mouse never aired as part of the Disney Afternoon block. (I would know, since I was absolutely OBSESSED with TDA in the '90s.)

Nope, House of Mouse did have storylines. I have seen a few episodes myself.

As with Wilt Dasney's reason, it was correct. That means he creates the next question.

I just thought of a whole bunch...

It's time to play our game."

The Lion King as it is the only one not taken directly from someone else's previous work. Although it could be argued that the Lion King is a Shakespeare derivative.

Pan, Pooh and Rescuers are all adapted from works by authors from the UK.

Lion King is ostensibly original, but has a lot of similarities to a Japanese TV show.
