Well, Moana Mercantile already has a shrine of merch for the movie set up, although that's probably a lot easier to arrange than an appearance at Ohana. Lilo and Stitch will be pushed out and Moana and her merch is already starting to be pushed in

I'm also assuming she's destined for M&G in Adventureland somewhere. Which will be a good sign for this new franchise. Hoping it will be a success.

If the movie is popular I look for Moana to eventually show up at Ohana.

Wouldn't it be great if the Walt film was spiffed up for the 50th? Not to mention the film at Philharmagic, which is about the most "Disney" thing at the parks these days, and so badly in need of an upgrade...

Nope. Not at all. At least not by sales... Every single person I know wants to go see it... And we're all just the 18 - 23 year olds in college!

I didn't say it wouldn't make a profit. It will do that but by disney standards it will go down as a flop kinda like Bolt did in 2008. (yes I'm aware it made 310 million world wide but it cost 150million to make.)

I disagree - the music already sounds amazing, which Bolt (not me) didn't have.

I'm confident that Moana will be a "hit". I think it could even weather poor critical reviews, though I anticipate it will be rated favorably.

I'm expecting a minimum of around $500M worldwide and would not be surprised by $700-800M or more.
