Welcome to Disney’s Skyline Resort, the hottest place to stay in Walt Disney World. This deluxe resort is the place to be for everybody who’s anybody. Built in the Art Deco style, the complex consists of the beautiful Central Tower hotel, the Skyline Galleria shopping center, the luxurious Sunlight Spa, several pools, and a recreational space called the Park.
Your journey begins when you receive a handwritten letter in the mail. As a star, it’s no surprise that Harrison Hightower III is inviting you to stay at his brand new resort, which was designed to capture the glitz and glamor of city life. So pack your bags and get ready for the vacation of a lifetime - this is Disney’s Skyline Resort.
Exploring the Resort
You’ll enter the resort through its crown jewel, the Central Tower hotel. Straight ahead of you is the hotel’s front desk and elevators. To the left is the Jazz Café and to the right is the Dining Hall restaurant. Heading past the elevators will lead you outside, to the Park.
From the park’s left side, you can access the Skyline Galleria, the resort’s shopping center. This consists of the Haute Couture boutique, the Mementos souvenir shop, and an art gallery named Lillian’s. From the park’s right side, you can access the Sunlight Spa. Past the park’s pond to the north of the resort is a building which houses the City and Subway pools.
If you instead decide to board an elevator, you can access your room, the Luxury Lounge, Luna, or the Tower Pool. The resort has a ton to offer, and if you’re ever feeling confused, feel free to pick up a map from the lobby or ask a cast member for help.
Rooms
The Skyline Resort offers a variety of ornately decorated rooms, catering to whatever needs you might have. Family rooms are comfortable and cozy, offering two queen sized beds, a pull out couch, one closet, one bathroom, and a flat screen TV.
Couple rooms feature the same accommodations but with one king sized bed instead of two queen sized beds. Deluxe rooms feature two connected family rooms, perfect for large groups or families who enjoy having additional space.
If you’re looking for a one of a kind experience, stay in one of our signature rooms. Each of these suites is different, lovingly designed by our Imagineers to make you feel like a celebrity. These suites feature two king sized beds, a couch, two armchairs, a coffee table, two closets, two bathrooms, a kitchen, a minibar, and a heated tub.
Haute Couture
If you’re a fashionista, you’ll love Haute Couture, the Skyline Galleria’s boutique. This bright, wide open space offers clothing from the hottest brands as well as outfits exclusive to Haute Couture. These include items based off of classic Disney characters as well as clothing themed around the resort.
Lillian’s
Named after Walt Disney’s wife and talented ink artist Lillian Disney, Lillian’s is an art gallery that displays a variety of beautiful paintings. If something catches your eye, you can buy it and add it to your collection. Just don’t take too long to decide, as the gallery offers new exhibitions on a regular basis.
Mementos
This quaint little souvenir shop will get you ready for a day at the parks and give you something to take home. Mementos offers snacks, supplies, books, umbrellas, hats, as well as more unique gifts. You can pick up the same dinnerware used in the resort, jazz instruments, and even models of the Central Tower. No matter what you pick, it’s sure to be a pleasant reminder of your stay at the resort.
Luna
Located near the top of the Central Tower, Luna is a gorgeous gourmet restaurant looking out on Walt Disney World. If you’re looking for a place to have a romantic dinner, you’ve found it. Take a seat, let one of our waiters bring you a drink, and take your time perusing our menu.
Appetizers
-Fried Oysters: Served with remoulade.
-Shrimp Platter: Cold shrimp arranged in a spiral, decorated with lemons and served with cocktail sauce.
-Artichoke Dip: Served with freshly baked garlic bread and crispy pita chips.
-Stuffed Mushrooms: Baked mushrooms stuffed with parmesan, cream cheese, and crab.
Entrees
-Eggs Benedict: A New York classic, this hearty dish consists of an English muffin with a poached egg, ham, and hollandaise sauce on top.
-Beef Wellington: A juicy sirloin wrapped up in a puff pastry and baked, served sliced down the middle.
-Steak-Frites: A succulent rib eye paired with perfectly seasoned french fries.
-Roast Chicken: A roasted chicken served alongside garlic mashed potatoes.
-Grilled Salmon: A rich grilled salmon topped with a brown sugar marinade.
-Greek Salad: Tomatoes, cucumbers, onion, olives, peppers, and feta cheese dressed with olive oil.
Desserts
-New York Cheesecake: Served as a whole or in slices and topped with strawberry or chocolate syrup.
-Chocolate Fudge Layer Cake: A decadent dessert garnished with fresh strawberries.
-Tiramisu: A light and fluffy coffee flavored sponge cake.
-Banana Cream Pie Parfaits: Graham cracker crust, banana pudding, and whipped cream wrapped up in a small glass.
Dining Hall
If you’ve worked up an appetite on your adventures, you’ll want to head down to the Dining Hall. This massive buffet is open for breakfast, lunch, and dinner, serving an array of delicious, freshly cooked friend. As you dine, you might be visited by a character. You could see Disney mainstays like Mickey, Donald, and Goofy, or stranger visitors like the Newsies.
Luxury Lounge
This intimate adults only lounge is a great way to spend your evening. Grab a drink from the bar, find yourself a seat in a cozy chair or roomy couch, and enjoy the lounge’s ambiance. Whether you prefer to regale your friends with drunken stories or listen to live music from the lounge’s resident band, you’ll have a great time.
Jazz Café
Stepping inside this charming little coffeehouse evokes the feeling of discovering a hidden gem. Serving Starbucks Coffee as well as freshly baked pastries, the Jazz Café is a great place to start your day. You can take your breakfast out to the Park or stay in and enjoy live jazz music.
Room Service
Not in the mood to go out? No problem! You’re a star, and Disney’s Skyline Resort treats you like one. Every room has a menu and phone to order room service. A selection of food and drinks from Luna, the Dining Hall, the Luxury Lounge, and the Jazz Café is offered, making room service a great choice for a peaceful breakfast, lunch, or dinner.
Pools
Disney’s Skyline Resort offers three unique indoor pools, each of which with their own appeal. The City Pool is a shallow, spacious square pool, great for guests of all ages to take a swim in. On the other hand, the Subway Pool caters to thrillseekers. This large pool features a structure based off of the Central Tower.
The tower features balconies where you can fire off water cannons to spray the swimmers below. If you’d rather get wet yourself, you can scale the tower to head down one of two water slides, modeled after subway trains.
The silver train heads straight down, while the winding golden train is sure to leave you dizzy. If you’re in the mood to relax, take an elevator up to the atmospheric Tower Pool. This small heated pool is sure to hit the spot after a long day of fun.
The Park
The Skyline Resort’s most unique attraction is the Park, an urban park that connects most of the resort’s facilities. The Park is a sight to see, with lush green grass, towering Elm trees, and a crystal clear pond. In the morning, the Park is quiet and peaceful. You can enjoy a picnic or do some birdwatching.
Throughout the afternoon, it gets more exciting. If you’re a younger guest, the Park makes for a great playground to run around in. You can even hitch a ride on a tire swing. Perhaps you’d like to meet one of your favorite characters or enjoy a performance from the park’s resident barbershop quartet. You can head by the pond to catch Mary Poppins’ Supercalifragilisticexpialidocious Show, with showtimes at 12:00, 2:00, 4:00, and 6:00 PM every day. Watch as a small cast of talented actors retells the famous story of Mary Poppins with song, live animals, and props.
The Park mellows out again as the sun goes down. Lay down a towel and do some stargazing or enjoy an evening meal. No matter the time of day, the Park is an escape from the hustle and bustle of Walt Disney World and the perfect place to relax.
Sunlight Spa
Sometimes you just need to unwind. That’s what the Sunlight Spa is for. This artfully designed building’s 1920s decor perfectly compliments the wide array of services we offer. Get a facial or a massage, pick up some towels and lotion for home, and sit back and relax as we refresh your body and mind.
