WHAT...would you say is your greatest strength as an Armchair Imagineer?

Given the short turnaround time of team projects, I'd say it's research & detail, and an interest in ride systems.

WHAT...is something you would like to try to improve on?

Sometimes I need to be more passionate about group projects when they're outside of my interest zone.

NO, WAIT, sometimes I need to learn roller coaster rendering software.

NO, WAIT, sometimes I need to get better at parades & spectaculars & other live shows.

NO, WAIT, sometimes I need to become less indecisive! AAAHHHH!

Let's give this a go!

What is your favorite armchair imagineering project you've worked on?
My favorite project I've worked on has to be 1986 Blue Sky Disneyland, a competition-spanning blue-sky resort from last year. What I loved most was how open-ended the prompts were: with free-reign to design anything loosely correlating to Disneyland Archetypes, no competition, and the entire cast spanning a single, multifaceted team, we were able to twist classic lands and resort components in bold and new ways. I'm particularly proud of how the resort's second gate developed, with distinctive and immersive "kingdoms" and @PerGron 's incredible Everrett Erie backstory threading the entire park.

What would you say is your greatest strength as an armchair imagineer?
Continuously looking for new ways to develop my skillset, from different means of presentation to, recently, focusing on writing and prose.

What is something you would like to try to improve on?

Honestly, I just want to chill this game. Last summer was... last summer, but my workload's increased significantly since then and I have few intentions of committing the same hours to this, as exciting as that would be. Instead, I'm hoping to just have fun - get back into the groove of things, brainstorm with some interesting new prompts, and make some friends!

Besides my Bible World project (which brought me to to Forum in the first place), I would say the Hanna-Barbera Arcade for SAVII. @JokersWild (almost single-handedly) did an incredible job on the Scooby-Doo pinball machine. I enjoyed making the Wacky Races Augmented Reality game as well as the Secret Squirrel escape room, particularly because I’m a big fan of Hanna-Barbera.

I would say that I am good at seeing where I fit into the team. I’m willing to take tasks that others might shy away from.

What is something you would like to try to improve on?
I would like to improve at designing roller coasters. The Star Trek coaster in SYWTBAI was a bit of a flop.

I know this isn't the discussion thread (yet), but I'd like to bring up the fact that Twisted Wonderland (a.k.a. the Disney villains game with the anime boys you might of seen floating around) is getting an English release:

So I hope you're ready for the simps.
I'm lowkey one of those simps. Stupid sexy Leona.

ITS A GAME?

I see merchandise for it everywhere. I’d always assumed it was a manga.

I know this isn't a discussion thread but let's kick off 2022 with the resolution to break the all time page count record with this game
If there is one thing I have learned on this forum, it is that any thread is a discussion thread if you just start talking!

Dear god, can we PLEASE get FNAF at Halloween Horror Nights already??!?! That thing is pure nightmare fuel!
I've been fighting for indie horror representation there for years! Huge fan base and a great way to expand the event! Fnaf, Bendy, Poppy's Playtime, etc. Great new opportunities for new park content that will basically market themselves!

Outbound's presence reminded me. I'd like to amend my favorite project:

The American Inferno: A Red Dead Redemption Story is probably the best project and team I've ever been a part of. I'm still proud of the work that went into both projects that round. For me, it was the most memorable project of 2020, though I'm obviously biased.
I don't know if I would say the project itself was the most memorable (though it was certainly up there!), but the whole reveal and fake out with it was absolutely a highlight of my time on the forum hahahah

Some quick housekeeping! Me and @Tegan pilots a chicken are both gonna be a lot more active here after the new year begins, but we wanted this thread up to start building hype and assembling the teams!

Trust me when I say that even if we haven't super active "on stage" yet, that we have a LOT of prep work done and have some amazing stuff on the way!

For now, keep signing up and start getting this page count as high as possible!
