I have one last ADR to plan on the day we visit MK....which do you recommend for lunch.... Kona Cafe or Whispering Canyon Cafe? We are 12 days away....I hope I can still get the time I want, so this may be the deciding factor.

Lunch at either isn't usually a huge problem getting the time you want (depending on your party size), but I think I'd lean towards Whispering Canyon Cafe.

Without question Whispering Canyon Cafe.

It is such a nice, quiet and relaxing place to eat. The staff is ever so friendly and will be so happy to serve you especially if you have special requests.:animwink:

I love Whispering Canyon. It's a completely different brand of restaurant from Kona though. Kona is more of a Cafe atmosphere, I've never really thought of it as a meal, just a late night snack or a quick meal when I didn't really feel like sitting down for something big.

I've had both breakfast and lunch at both restaurants and to me the Kona is best for breakfast. Their lunch menu is ok, but I think the WCC's is better.

Another thing I don't really care for was the fact people could walk over and see what you were eating.

If you are going with kids WCC is a must. Good food and tones of fun.

I have only ever eaten lunch at the Kona, but I loved it. The food was really good and their coffee drinks were awesome. They do have the standered kid menu that you find in all disney restruants, but it's not a real "kid" kind of atmospher.

I would definitely choose WCC...Although Kona is very good, I think the atmosphere and "interaction" at WCC is a much better time. BTW did anyone watch the Wilderness Lodge on "Great Hotels" Travel channel last night? It seemed like a few people in the restaurant were NOT happy with the service that came along with their meals at WCC. They seemed kinda scroogeish to me....Some People. (Of course this could have been staged for the special, but it didn't make either party look good..WCC=Annoying, Guest=Grump).

Although I have never eaten there, I have heard good things about Whispering Canyon.
What about 'Ohana's at the Poly?
