One Day Theme Park Ticket

I know they exist...I also know they cost about $100. Without going on eBay, does anyone know of a trustworthy sight that sells these at a slightly reduced rate? Or should I just give up?

Just for your background info, my friends and I are planning to go sometime in the future, and we want the 6 or 7 day hoppers. My family went a while back and the 'rents got me a 10 Day No Exp. pass. There are 5 park hopper days left, and I want 1 or 2 more to add on so my friends and I have the same amount of days.

Flood of suggestions. Please:wave:

Most of the discount places do not offer the 1-day passes, but I know on the WDW site they are $112 for a 1-day hopper, and $177 for a 2-day hopper.

Discounted 1 and 2 day passes are pretty hard to come by when you are not a Fl resident and the gate price is pretty high especially for a park hopper. One avenue you might explore is upgrading you ticket to a 12 day ticket if such an animal exists. The next would be finding something else to do on those 2 days like a water park or *cough* Universal or Sea World *cough*.

Don't know how much THIS would help, but you could get 1-day tickets for the water parks only, which would be less than one-day tickets for the big 4 parks. Exclusively use the park-hoppers you have for the main parks, and on the days you go to water parks, try to convince your friends to spend as much time there as possible, and then at night, do something that doesn't require entry into the other parks, like hanging out at the Broadway Resort, Hoop-De-Do Revue or campfire movies at Fort Wilderness. Karaoke at the Swan. A nice long dinner at any of the more upscale resort resturants. Shopping at DTD. Or pay to get into Pleasure Island, though at that point, I don't know how much you're saving compared to getting a 2-day park hopper.

OR

If you've got the cash handy, and think you'll be going back to WDW sometime in the near future, buy another multi-day park hopper pass now. It won't save you any money now, but it'll save you a ton of cash next trip, whenever that may be. Lord knows the ticket prices will just get more expensive, so you'll also save money compared to the cost of buying a pass during your next trip.

Slappy has the right idea. Just go ahead and get a park hopper for several days (no expiration of course). You know you'll be back and you can use them then.

Otherwise do you have a AAA membership or know someone who does? You may be able to get one or two days at a little discount from them. I think the way their partnership works with WDW is they basically buy the tickets for you at a discount so they should be able to get any amount of days.

Another option is to open a Disney Visa and you get some sort of discount off of park tickets with that.

Good luck and have fun!

If you want 1 or 2 more days all you have to do is take the ticket that you have days left on and upgrade it to either the 6 or 7 day park hopper at guest services at one of the parks. It's the easiest and cheapest way to do it.

Wow, you can take the leftover days from a 10-day pass and bump it up to a 6 or 7 day pass?

Theoretically, then, you could buy a 10 day pass with no expiration, use 5 days, and keep upgrading it to a 10 day pass every time you go back. Wouldn't that save you some serious coin?

I was just thinking the same thing as Slappy Magoo. My husband's uncle and his wife went down last year and deciced to stay an extra day, so they upgraded their pass and I know it was VERY inexpensive to add an extra day. (not sure what kind of pass they started with.)

We bought a 10 day non expiring hopper last year and used 5 days. We're planning on using the last 5 this year. Can we upgrade to 10 again before we leave and save, "serious coin"?

Still hoping for some verification on this. We leave in 19 days, and I'd like to know if we should "add on" days while we're there.

Any help is truly appreciated!

While buying tickets from any source other then Disney directly is always buyer beware, there are a few authorized wholesales of Disney Tickets. Please note however, only a 3 day Magic Your Way Tickets or larger will carry a wholesale rate. Not even AAA offices will discount less then a 3 day MYW ticket, and you will need to be a member to purchase from them. All Disney Tickets are non-refundable, and non-transferable, meaning whoever uses the first day or option on a ticket is the only one who can use any and all other days and entitlements. If you ever see a 1 or 2 day ticket discounted, you are getting an unauthorized or used ticket that most likely will not work for you at the turnstiles.

On ticket upgrades...

Guests with questions about upgrade opportunities must visit Theme Park Guest Relations in person with their ticket media to determine what options, if any, are available. Walt Disney World Ticketing and the Disney Reservation Center cannot make this determination in advance of a Guest's visit. What I can tell you is this:

First, theme park tickets are sold as 1 to 10 day Magic Your Way Tickets. There currently is not an 11 or 12 day option.

Secondly, upgrades may only take place 14 days from the date of First Use regardless of if the "No Expiration" Option is purchased or not. The only general exception to this rule is the Florida Resident 3-Day Play Pass, which may be upgraded to include additional days and/or options - or to a Seasonal, Annual or Premium Annual Pass - within 6 months from the date of first use.

First Use occurs the first time a Magic Your Way ticket is used for any admission (Theme Park, Water Park, DisneyQuest, Pleasure Island or Disney's Wide World of Sports).

Your best bet is to simply purchase a two day Magic Your Way Ticket with the Park Hopper Option for $188.51 per Guest (age 10+) including tax. You will not be able to find any viable lower cost option.

Hope this helps!

Definately!! I didn't know that with the new tickets you had only 14 days to upgrade even with the no expiration to be honest with you. You were able to upgrade them regardless of the age in the past weren't you? I could swear that you could.

Pre-Magic Your Way tickets, yes, you had an unlimited time to upgrade. This policy went into effect in 2005.
