With the big punches of Space Mountain, Big Thunder Mountain, Splash Mountain, and the other great attractions such as Buzz Lightyear, TTA, Pirates, Haunted Mansion, WDW Railroad......it has to be Magic Kingdom for me. None of the other WDW parks has nearly that many must-see attractions (for me) than MK.

Of all my trips, we have never had a dole whip... I know!!! We just never stop for snacks. We wait till the last day to purchase snacks. We are weird!! But after seeing all the good stuff here, my list is getting bigger and bigger!!This is a must due next year!!!

I'll bet you'll be a convert after your next trip! We'll see to that! ;)

Epcot for me. All of my favorite attractions are there, I love the calmness of Epcot and the restaurants there are lovely too.

Epcot - I always feel there are so many things that I don't get to see because there is so much to see! I would like to make the qualification of going solo so that I can finally see everything (well as much of everything as humanly possible in one day). AK is a close second for the same reason.

MK without a doubt. In fact, when we go to WDW, we won't even go to another park until we go to MK and we won't go to MK until the morning following our arrival so we can properly enter MK with the Opening Show! It's nuts, but MK is such a big deal to me and my kids - so magical - that I don't want to ruin it by making it an after-thought. Once we went to AK on the first day and it was just not the same to go to MK the next day. It just didn't feel as special. And, once we went to MK on the night of arrival and walked in right as the "Move It Shake It Celebrate It" PArade was going and it was almost awkward. I see that parade as a "ok - we know you're exhausted because you've been here all day - but get up and dance!!" and we were like "um...we jsut got here." It just felt totally weird. So...long story short...now we have certain rules about when we can go to certain parks and needless to say if I only had 1 day, I'd have to go to MK per my own rule system :p

The last time we did a one-day trip to WDW we were at the Boardwalk. Our game plan:
  • Drive to DHS to drop off car. There an hour before official opening so no problem parking in the front row.
  • Walk back to room, join family, and walk to International Gateway for Epcot opening.
  • Epcot: TT, Soarin', MS, as well as the "make your own" rollercoaster in Innoventions. Into the World Showcase for the 11 AM opening, walked the long way around (i.e. Mexico side) back to International Gateway.
  • Take the boat to DHS after noon, at DHS around 1 PM.
  • DHS: ToT, RnRC, STII, and TSMM. Late lunch at ABC Commissary.
  • Walk back to car (parked in the front row) and drive over to MK. In MK by 7 PM.
  • MK for EMH: POTC, Splash Mountain, HM, Peter Pan, IASW, Winnie, Space Mountain, Buzz, parade, and fireworks.
  • Back to car for an easy drive to the Boardwalk.
That's how we do a one-day trip to WDW. ;)

Definitely MK.

Back when I lived in FL, we'd often do day trips to WDW which usually just meant going to one park. This was all pre AK, but I've done just a day at Epcot and just a day at DHS and it always felt wrong...like forgot to go to the prom, forgot to pick up the kids, didn't buy milk for the week...wrong. I know not everyone else is this way, but tried it and things just don't feel right in the universe if I don't set foot in MK first...so, with only 1 day it MUST be MK. :D

EPCOT for sure! Rides, shops and good restaurants all of which you can enjoy while walking around with a drink. Can't beat that! :)
