On-Line Check In & Celebrations

So I just noticed that for my upcoming DVC reservation, I can add a "celebration" entry to my reservation (via the dvcmembers.com website.)

Our reservation in close to my daughter's birthday, so I added her birthday as a celebration item.

It's been my experience that typically for "celebrations", cast members will give a button (or some other trinket) when you register when you arrive.

If we choose to check-in on-line, rather than when we arrive, will that diminish the possibilites of how our celebration might be treated? I just don't want my daughter to miss out on any surprise or trinket they might happen to have for her.

It should not make any difference. You can pick up the buttons for free at any Disney resort, ticket window or guest service location. For that matter I have had a CM at Dinorama volunteer to go get one for my daughter on her birthday.

honestly since the online is new and with combo of celebrations, I would call the resort and ask them, becasue if registering online will disable your trinket, I would like to know ahead of time instead of finding out on arrival.

We got our buttons

We did the on-line check-in in April. We were wished a Happy Anniversary and given our buttons upon check-in. We also when to Vero Beach on the same trip but we were not able to use on-line check-in for Vero. Where your buttons we were wished a Happy Anniversary every where we went and at a couple of restaurants treated to a free desert.

We also did the online check in for our anniversary last month. Our buttons were waiting for us when we picked up our packet.

We did as well. It was also a week away from our son's birthday, so we entered that as well. We got the anniversary buttons and he got the birthday button when we checked in. We also got a note and a towel animal from mousekeeping.
