Omnimovers. Has Disney abandoned them?

Who knows, I thought boat rides were over.. then they built frozen. I could see some c-d rides certainly being omnimovers. Maybe not E tickets at least for awhile.

You can make an argument for Navi River Journey. However, they did not "build" Frozen Ever After. They destroyed Maelstrom and made a re-skin of Frozen.

I knew someone would say that lol, but they could have easily changed the ride type if they had wanted to and the boats were replaced and some of the track was changed so it wasn't as simple as replace scene for scene. And awesome point on navi, to me boats are more outdated than omnimovers, although I love them both.

Math is math.. Omnimovers generally have larger throughput per hour than many other attractions.

The peoplemover isn't technically an omnimover, but it moves guests through continuously, so it's practically the same efficiency.

I think it's easy if you figure that if you're moving onto a moving walkway, it probably has a pretty high throughput

...unless it's Peter Pan.

Yeah, but that would cost Disney money. They take the cheap way out.

Well, not exactly.

Those Viking ships....oops I mean Elsa vehicles and its track were holdovers from Maelstrom. Since Disney recycled them I don't consider that a new built ride.

Ultimately Elsa is a fully fleshed out overlay with new sets, story and figures. The boats, water trough and big box building were reused.
