Ok so I graduate from college in May and my GF surprised me with a trip to DL in May. Its my first time to DL and im so excited. I also have som many questions now.

1. We are staying at Paridise Pier, how is it have you stayed there?
2. We will be going from May 29 to June 5th, how are the crown levels?
3. I need 5 Table service dinners where should I eat?
4. Is Fast Pass offered in DL
5. What section fills up fastes so where shoud we begin?
6. What rides will be closed in DCA during this time?
7. Will they be doing parades\fireworks again?

Yes, they have Fastpasses.

If you can afford the higher prices, for me Blue Bayou and Napa Rose are a must for table service restaurants.

We've stayed at Paridise Pier in May 2008. We had a room on an upper floor facing DCA, which was a great view at night. Room was nice, decent size and Mousekeeping was good.

1. I've only been through the lobby, it's very nice.
2. Medium level
3. I recommend Goofy's Kitchen, Blue Bayou, Storyteller's Cafe.
4. Yes. Make sure to get FP's for the more popular attractions in the morning: Space, Indy, etc.
5. Tomorrowland. I usually go through Adventureland in the morning and make my way clockwise around the park.
6. I don't think anything in DCA is going to be closed. The Fun Wheel opens next month and the rest aren't scheduled to go down until late this year.
7. The entertainment schedule hasn't been released yet on Disneyland.com, but they should be done with the Main Street repaving to start parades and fireworks.

DLR as far as the parks go is kind of short listed on table service locations it goes as follows, Carnation Cafe, Blue Bayou, Cafe Orleans, Golden Vine Winery, Ariel's Grotto. Theres stuff at the resorts too.

Fastpass is offered at DLR on a limited amont of rides depending on the season, Indy, Splash, Thunder, Buzz, Autopia, Space, Soarin, Screamn', Grizzly, Tower.

I would try doing the big E tickets first, or if Fantasmic is playing take your pick at Indy, Pirates, Mansion, Splash or Thunder since all are generally walk on during show time.

At DCA there shouldn't be that much closed but LOTS of walls once you hit Paradise Pier, since World of Color has the lagoon empty as well as the ampithether, Golden Dreams is set to start its tear out next month, and the SF buildings are swaping places for the restrooms.

DLR has been offering parades and shows all the time just on a limited schedual during off season, Celebrate! A Street party starts on March 27, fireworks may be a brand new show by then, Fantasmic! may still be down for refrub.

Theres also a lot of new stuff that has come to DLR in the past year, you have Pixar Play Parade, the updated Playhouse Disney, new Mark VII monorails, Toy Story Midway Mania(side note does not have Fastpass) Blue Sky Cellar, Pixie Hollow, updated Small World, updated Fantasmic! finale and digital projectors, the return/updated Sleeping Beauty Castle Walk Through.

I'll get there for my 1st trip June 2nd or 3rd! I've heard that Goofy's Kitchen is good so I'm planning on eating there. How far out can you book dining reservation?

90 days on GK - I'll be there spring break and had my choice of times. I also like that I didn't have to give them a credit card and have cancellation policies on my character meal! Nice change from WDW on that.

Congratulations!!! What an awesome gift!! You are in for a real treat! DL is great!

Regarding Paradise Pier, it is a nice place to stay, but the only caveat I'd let you know about is not to expect it to be a WDW caliber resort hotel. The only truly Disney-built hotel at DLR is Grand Californian. The other two (DL Hotel and Paradise Pier) were built decades ago by outside companies. Disney bought them, reburbished them somewhat, and gave them some Disney themed decor, but you can really still tell they are not true "Disney" hotels. Unfortunately, they do carry the Disney price tag. Please don't get me wrong, Paradise Pier is decent however. If you have never stayed at a Disney hotel anywhere else, you'll be pleased. But if you are expecting the uniqueness, originality and overall "feel" of a typical Disney hotel, then I would say it's not quite the same. Just a heads up.

DL does offer FastPass. I'm not sure if this is something you can necessarily count on, but my general experience has usually been that DL CMs are not as uptight about the time on the FastPasses as they are at WDW. So it makes for a somewhat more easy-going, enjoyable way to see the parks.

Space Mountain and Indiana Jones tend to me the two places that people head to first. I would pick one day to make Space Mountain your first ride (get a fastpass, then go on the ride via the standby line a couple of times while the wait is relatively short), then do the same thing with Indiana Jones one of the other days.

How many days will you have to be in the parks? I would definitely recommend focusing the vast majority of your time and attention on DL rather than DCA. Even if you've been to MK, DL is still a MUCH more worthwhile park than DCA. If you are used to other Disney parks, then you will find that DCA really stands out as being markedly lower in quality and show, than other Disney parks. There is not much at this park that you haven't already experienced if you've been to WDW. In fact, pretty much all of the DCA clones from other Disney parks are actually cheapened versions of those attractions. Almost everything else is just typical "carnival" rides that can be found at any amusement park. Nothing unique or "Disney-like" about them.

We stayed there in December. They upgraded us to a top floor suite and the view was fantastic. The service was good, everything was very clean- I'd recommend the Lilo & Stitch Aloha Breakfast downstairs. Have fun :)
