Happy New Year Folks. Just read on a thread today that someone has been 20, yes 20 times to WDW since 1979 and yet to try CHH at MK for something to eat. Anyway,it got me thinking ( as usual ) What secret snack would you recommend to try at Disney. Example, last year was our fifth trip since 2004, yet our first taste of beignets and the magic cookie bar. Now we all know about Dole Whips and Cupcakes, but it's always great to find out something new in the world of Disney snacks. So come on,reveal your " How did I miss that ?" ;)
Baklava at the Tangerine cafe and it's almost given away if you get a meal. Yummy and cheap YEA!!

We had lunch in CHH our last visit. It was our second experience there. I really enjoy the Light House Sandwich and this time I tried the Veggie Chili. The Chili was really good, could have used a bit more kick but, I enjoyed it non the less. My parents got the lobster rolls this time, their complaint, too much bread. Mom has had the Broccoli Salad and she says that is her favorite. DH got chicken breast nuggets and fries, this is a standard lunch for him in the world.

Agree about the Lobster Roll, wish they would use multi grain bread instead.

I didn't try CHH for years after going to Disney. We'd usually just go with Peco's Bill or Cosmic Rays. We didn't try Starring Rolls or Boulangerie Patisserie for years after we started going either.

Pecos Bill's is on my list to try next time, as my folks went there and said it was good.

Does anyone remember the place in Tomorrowland where the noodle place is now? I can't remember what it was called, but they did nice chicken. Might have been called the "Plaza" something.

No one really knows about this one restaurant in EPCOT but its really great!!! Fantastic dinners and the steaks are to die for!!!! Its right at the bottom of Canada, called Le Cellier, but no one knows about it so its super easy to get reservations.

Seriously, the noodles that are served with dinner at O'hana are excellent. I don't know what it is. They're just noodles, but there is just something different about them than what you find elsewhere.

I'm a believer in the magic cookie bar now as well! Yummy!
Ha! I absolutely love the pork dumplings at Ohana, I seriously could go there just for those!! We also love the noodles.

Well, I have 3 entries into the "How did I miss that?" food club...

1) I didn't try a turkey leg until 2007
2) I didn't know about or try the cream cheese filled pretzels until 2005
3) I had never had a churro until our last trip (9/11)
Where do you get the cream cheese filled pretzels? Those sound absolutely nummy!!

Oh yes, the pork dumplings are great too! Honestly, I could skip all the meat and just eat the appetizers, sides and the dessert.
Me too! My DS at 4 discovered he loved broccoli at Ohana, he requests it all the time. Our server last trip noticed that I loved the dumplings, because I wouldn't let him clear them, and he called them "Hawaiian Gold" he said that surprisingly they are the most expensive thing they serve on their whole menu!

Last summer was the first time I had Funnel Cake at EPCOT. Tasted great, but as we were eating a seagull swooped down and knocked the funnel cake out of a poor guy's hands nearby. I kept a closer watch on mine after that! ;)

I don't know if this counts but up until I was about 24 years old, I never liked chocolate then one day, I took to it and now I love it. Weird huh? So now I get to discover and fall in love with all of Disney's chocolate treats! My fiancé now has to share desserts :)

Not weird at all! I've always been the same way with fruit-flavored desserts- love the fruit, didn't like the taste of it mixed into a dessert. Now I love them and try to find all my options at WDW!

Favorite snacks:

Strawberry Crepe
Creme Brulee
Dole Whip
Stuffed Pretzels
Strawberry Shortcake
Funnel Cake
Plain Sugar Crepe

In fact I was reflecting as to what is the first thing I do when I arrive at the world (besides check in and unpack of course) and it is head to Epcot and hit the crepe kiosk in France...
