Olympic Torch Coming Through!

The Olympic torch will be carried through Jacksonville tomorrow morning, and is actually passing by both my son's school and my house. I wondered if anyone else here will be watching it as it passes through his/her town? We're all going to dress in red, white, and blue and cheer them on as they pass.

I remember when the games were in Atlanta it passed right by the end of my street. It was the coolest thing to just go out to the end of the block and see it go by!

the torch came through Charleston on Thursday. I didn't get to see it.

A couple years ago I went to work with my mom and it went by there so I got to see it from sitting on the top of the car

It came through yesterday, as scheduled. The whole school dressed in red, white, and blue, and all of the children and parents were waving flags. The staff had set up a loud speaker which was blasting patriotic songs. Several TV and newspaper reporters were present (one anchorwoman, who was in the parade, has children at the school...another cameraman...from a different station...lives in the neighborhood, and was trapped, so took lots of footage) My son's photo..part of a group...was in the morning paper today. I managed to watch it twice, because it hadn't passed my home by the time I returned after leaving the school.
