The old tomorrowland had its interesting points. Basically it is still there. If you were to see aerial photos of tomorrowland basically the facades of currently stitch, laugh floor, and rocket tower plaza, along with buzz are the only things remade along with landscape and the walkways.
3/4 of Tomorrowland is very much from 1971/1975. You can find this in Space Mtn, the CoP, Speedway, Much of the TTA, and even the trees, lamposts, and concrete benches/sitting areas.
Sure something original preserved, albiet in a slightly different color scheme, BUT very clashy with the 1995 layover.
I do miss the pylon towers of the old tomorrowland, if they had a facade overlay I think they would have been really neat at nighttime with neon, etc.
But tomorrowland couldn't survive in architecture completely untouched. The lobbys of flight to the moon and the circlevision theater looked like untouched airport terminals!
The pavilion that currently hosts Stitch, and formerly Alien Encounter hosted two slightly similar attractions: Flight to the Moon from december 1971-april 1975. Mission to Mars replaced it from June 1975-October 1993.
Interesting to note that the outline of all 4 attractions are the same. Outdoor(Now indoor queue)...then the briefing or holding room, and the circular chambers themselves.
