Does anyone have any pics of what Tomorrowland looked like before the 1995/6 makeover? I know it was more in the vein of how Space Mountain looks, but for the life of me I just can't remember what it looked like.

Did anybody prefer the old look? What did they have where Alien Encounter/Stitch's Great Escape is now?

The old tomorrowland had its interesting points. Basically it is still there. If you were to see aerial photos of tomorrowland basically the facades of currently stitch, laugh floor, and rocket tower plaza, along with buzz are the only things remade along with landscape and the walkways.

3/4 of Tomorrowland is very much from 1971/1975. You can find this in Space Mtn, the CoP, Speedway, Much of the TTA, and even the trees, lamposts, and concrete benches/sitting areas.

Sure something original preserved, albiet in a slightly different color scheme, BUT very clashy with the 1995 layover.

I do miss the pylon towers of the old tomorrowland, if they had a facade overlay I think they would have been really neat at nighttime with neon, etc.

But tomorrowland couldn't survive in architecture completely untouched. The lobbys of flight to the moon and the circlevision theater looked like untouched airport terminals!

The pavilion that currently hosts Stitch, and formerly Alien Encounter hosted two slightly similar attractions: Flight to the Moon from december 1971-april 1975. Mission to Mars replaced it from June 1975-October 1993.

Interesting to note that the outline of all 4 attractions are the same. Outdoor(Now indoor queue)...then the briefing or holding room, and the circular chambers themselves.

Here are links to a few old tomorrowland photos:

I have been on that site for a while now and still cannot figure out how to open (or view) any of the vids that I have downloaded. I looked in the forum section for answers and even emailed a moderator but they never responded. Can someone maybe PM me with instructions?

if its a straight off video file install this: http://www.free-codecs.com/download/K_Lite_Codec_Pack.htm

when you download a video from the net it is sometimes compressed to speed up downloads etc.... and different encodings use different algorithims to encode and compress the file... Therefore there isnt a standard codec to use really.... more gubbins about codecs is here: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Codec

Pm'd you aswell just in case :)
