Old Epcot Commerative Ticket

My FIL found two of the commerative Epcot tickets that his mother purchased during a trip many years ago. They look like this ticket. He and his DW are going with me, DW and DS to WDW in December and he wanted to know if he could use these tickets. They are 3 day tickets and have not been used. I told him it was my understanding that those tickets could be traded in for 3 day MYW tickets that he could then add park hopping to for $35 each. Is this correct?

I'm not sure of exactly how they will translate into the new MYW tickest but I do know I've traded in really old, unused tickets for new ones before. NYE 03 to 04 to be exact.

I've been trying to win that exact ticket on Ebay for many months now. Technically, if It hasn't been used, you could trade it in for face value (They still take old ticket books too (ABCDand E tickets) at their face value)
Honestly, you'll probably get more money for it selling it on ebay....lol

They are collectors pieces!! You could sell those for a good price, or even better, keep them as a souvenir :)

The tickets you showed are only the commemorative stubs (IE -- they appear to have been USED). The unused tickets should still have a white stub on the left hand side saying that it's valid for a three-day adventure. If it's just the monorail/SSE picture, it has been used.

Here's an unused one on Ebay showing the stub...

Asking price is $225. So, if you have an unused one (with stub), you'd be much better off selling it, or prefarably keeping it as a momento.

That picture I had wasn't a link to my FIL's tickets. It was just to show what his looked like. I don't know if his have the white stub on them or not. I've never seen them, he just asked me if he could use them and said they were 3 day passes. :veryconfu I guess I need to find that out and then get them up on ebay or something. Is that asking price a 'normal' asking price for an unused 3 day commerative ticket? I looked at the completed auctions, but didn't see another with the white stub.

I can't remember having seen one with the stub for sale on there, other than that one "Buy it now" auction. That one has been up there for quite a while. A guy who might know going prices is ebay member diztix... search for any of his auctions then use the "send a question" link. He seems to know his stuff.

Please don’t use these.... They are wroth more as collector items then admission to WDW. Each ticket with stub still attached is worth 150 - 250 on eBay …depending on condition and number of bidders. I have both, one with and with stub in my collection.

I called CRO to check on the tickets and was told that we would only receive face value if we traded them on new tickets. DW says she's pretty sure the white stubs are still on them, so after she talks to her dad we'll probably be putting them up on ebay. Thanks for all the help folks!!

Sorry to bring this posting back to life after so long but I was searching for info on xommemorative tickets. I have about 5 or 6 commemorative tickets, unused and I am trying to find a good site that might give me an idea of what they might sell for. Some are framed, all are new and still in the packaging they cam in the day they were purchased and have not been handled since. They are tickets from the WDW 25th ann ticket, The opening of Animal Kingdom, The two pieces of the Electrical Parade, two of the Indiana Jones Ride tickets (both framed and one framed with a photo of Harrison Ford in Raders of the Lost Arc signed). I also have other Disney Collectibles that I want to see what they might be worth. Anyone have a good site to check out?
