i personally agree with not having college sport victory parades at WDW.

Which is unfortunate since the official Parks blog had released this statement about the ad campaign:

"If you haven’t seen the spot yet, mascots from the University of Alabama, Florida State University, The Ohio State University and the University of Oregon are passing the time at an airport, hoping their team wins the National Championship so one of them will get to fly off to Walt Disney World Resort in Florida to represent their school for a celebratory parade similar to how countless marquee sports heroes have celebrated after the big game. Check it out – it’ll make you smile."

That's interesting because Osceola and Renegade DIDN'T travel to the Rose Bowl with the 'Noles. I doubt if the Durhams would let the horse just go anywhere for a promo spot like this, including leading a parade at Disney. Can you imagine a large horse just hanging around an airport? Really, Disney......

For the first WDW commercial, they used these guys covered in glitter as FSU's mascots. I'm guessing that's who would've gone to WDW, too.

Except that the Glitter Guys are not FSU's official mascot - that is Chief Osceola and Renegade. So including them in a promo spot with the other 3 university's mascots is wrong. I bet Ohio State, Oregon and 'Bama fans would be upset if a promo ad for the national championship included as their school's mascot something other than Brutus, the Duck and Big Al. While the Glitter Guys are fun, Noles identify with Osceola and Renegade. The promo for FSU during FSU games isn't of the two guys....

Or the Durhams wouldn't let them use Chief Osceola. The Seminole Tribe has no issues with FSU using the name Seminole or Chief Osceola. The Tribe, in fact, provided the costume.
