My wife and I are going to WDW the second week away (28 days!) and for the last week or so I have been trying to get ADR's for Ohana and have been unsuccessful. All 4 day nights that we have available are all booked solid for dinner! I assumed a month ahead of time would be sufficient time to get reservations... I mean come on, it isn't Cinderella's Royal Table or Chef Mickey's. I talked with a CM and they said to check back the week of because that is when people tend to cancel is at the last minute. True or not? Am I just out of luck?:brick:

We need time for things to happen.

No a month is no where near enough time to book. ADR (advanced dining reservations) open up for most places 180 days in advance!
Not to mention Ohana is one of the most popular restaraunts on properties.

I have heard of people getting in at the last minute....so KEEP TRYING and GOOD LUCK!

Ohana is quite frequently booked solid 5 to 6 months out. It has been this way for quite some time. There is always the possibility that someone will cancel. All you can do is keep trying.

Keep trying, people could definitely cancel. I would continue to call Disney Dining while you are down there too. No, Ohana is not CRT but it is also a very popular pick and may not be one you need to book 180 days out but when we want Ohana on our itinerary I always aim for 4 months ahead, at least to be safe.

Just show up early and put you name in grab a drink, relax and in 25 to 45 minutes your table is ready. Do it all the time no problem.:ROFLOL:

I did find that to be the case last year. They had us come to the reservation desk before opening at 4:30 as a walk up. We got in by 6:00. It really stinks that for the most part walk up seating is a thing of the past, but it's all the dining plans that people want to get their money's worth out of.

I just wouldn't have thought it would have been that much in demand. My wife and I go to Disney annually but usually we go to places like Chef Mickey's or California Grill (which is odd because the Poly is our favorite Resort) and I was aware of the demands of those kind of places. I guess I should have done a little more research concerning the demand of the restaurant.

Right now it is a pretty safe assumption that the level of demand for all table service restaurants is fairly extreme. Sure there will always be those places like Morocco and San Angel where late availability is more common, but for the most part getting ADR's at a month or less can be a little tricky no matter where you search.

I will be in Disney the 2nd week of May also - I made our dinner reservation for Ohana 180 days in advance to the day, and still didn't get the time I wanted. How the time I wanted was gone already I have no idea. I thought that was crazy.

My pregnancy is taking it's toll on me when it comes to the smell of meat. I may be canceling my reservation that morning if I don't think I can handle it. I mean, Ohana is pretty much a bunch of meat cooking. :D

So people definitely do cancel the day of, keep trying!

Definitely keep trying- especially the week before like the CM suggested. I was able to find an opening at 'Ohana about 3 weeks before our last trip. It wasn't the time I wanted, but it was something. For the heck of it, I kept checking the website and about a week before our trip an ADR for the exact time/date I wanted opened up.

I've been trying to get Into Ohana forth past week or so. I've been unsuccessful as well. I did manage to get into crystal palace which I didn't see coming so i guess Ohana will have to wait for next time.

Well if you do happen to cancel them let me know what day and time you do so I can snatch it up before someone else does :D

I'd just keep trying. I wanted Le Cellier last trip and we didn't book the trip until about 3 months out. Called every day, twice a day and about a week or two of doing it - got a reservation! It does happen though not very common. It doesn't hurt to call every day...up to and including the day you want to eat there. I have Ohana booked for end of May (22nd I believe) but I booked close to 180 days out. And even then my time of 8:00 was pushed to 8:20. Oh well, closer to Wishes!

If you do the walk up thing and can't get in...try Kona Cafe right around the corner. We love it there. We are eating there on our next trip as well.

I actually got a reservation for one of the nights we will be there... the only thing is that it is at 9:55PM :( But I figured that I better snag it before someone else did. I will continue to check a few times a day to try and catch an earlier time. But seriously... who eats dinner at 9:55PM??? You wouldn't be finished eating until 11:00PM at the earliest!!! :dazzle:

Keep trying. I was able to get an 8pm ADR last night at Ohana on mothers day. It just popped up. I've been checking once in a while and its always booked solid for the week we are going. Pretty much everything nice is which is why we dropped the DDP. We love the food but hate how dinner sets the pace for the whole day.

I will definitely keep trying... I mean I do have 25 days until I get there and I check multiple times a day so I have a decent chance to find something that is better than 9:55PM haha. If i don't however, I am considering Sanaa at the AKL... has anyone been there? It looks great on Disney's website but then again looks can be deceiving...
