'Ohana or Chefs De France?

We will be trying Chefs de France for the first time next month. O'hana, is a yearly must do! The food really is good, but for those of us who have been there several times, aren't happy about some recent changes. (which I am betting are atleast 70% of iffy reviews) In all of our trips to O'hana there have never been any undercooked food (maybe years ago when they had sausage it wasnt cooked as crisp as we would have liked) A few times, the food was actually overcooked (we just asked for a different skewer) Your three year old will really enjoy it, much more than Chefs de France, in my honest opinion. O'hana is just a fun experience!

Just want to add...even if you don't do Chefs this trip, I highly recommend looking into it again. The menu is big, so there's a lot to choose from, it would be fine for your kid (lots of families there, it's not fancy), the service is always great, and the food is always good. I can honestly say I've never had a bad meal there. I also recommend the half roasted chicken. Boma is also good, but you might want to stay away with your concerns, it might not be the best option. Yachtsman I also highly recommend when your kid is a bit older. If he can learn to sit at a table, not be super noisy, and just generally behave, it would be fine to take him there. Just be aware that the meals can run from an hour and a half to two hours. Some kids can do it, some can't. Obviously, as a parent, that would be your choice. :)

Thanks for the good advice.
I really do want to Yachtsman one day (along with Cali Grill), but I wouldn't attempt to do it now with our son. He's not really picky so food wouldn't be an issue, but he would have trouble sitting quietly (and still!) for 2 hours. Apart from the stress it would probably cause myself and my DH, I wouldn't want to spoil the experience of others. Much better to wait until he's at an age when we can all appreciate and enjoy the experience together.

Don't get me wrong, I don't like my meat really well done (I actually have my steak medium rare), but always a but wary where pork and poultry are concerned! I did wonder if a significant amount of the negative reviews were about the menu changes (totally understandable) but obviously as I'be never been before, I'll have nothing to compare it to. I think I shall just go with an open mind and go with the flow :)

I'll be interested to hear how you find Chefs de France.

if you've never been to o'hana before, it's definitely a great experience. you're familiar with your own dietary issues - make sure you are careful about what you eat. if you have sensitivities to anything in particular, let them know ahead of time. for example, i have a friend who cannot have the dressing on the salad, so they bring it dry and bring dressing on the side. we won't be going this trip for two reasons: one, i don't love the menu changes and two, i don't eat much meat so it's kind of a waste for me.
