I need help my peeps! If you have a breakfast ressie for Ohana, can you park at the Polynesian, enjoy the breakfast, and then take the monorail to the Magic Kingdom?

The question is, could we leave our car at Polynesian all day, after eating breakfast at Ohana?

Could you? Probably. But with parking limited now at the Poly due to the construction, security may be more diligent checking parking passes. Better to move your car to TTC lot than risk a tow.

It's always best to ask. Depending on when u r going (business level) will be the big determining factor if they let u or not. If they say no, just move the car to the TTC after breakfast...

Better yet, park at the TTC and take the short walk over to the Poly. Then monorail to MK after breakfast. That means only parking once.
This worked for us well. The walk is nice, well it was nicer before the construction mess.

The lot is posted as not for theme park parking. Even without construction the self-parking lot is way too small to accommodate all who would want to do that and with construction it's much worse. The resorts own guests have to have a place to park and do not have the same options as visitors. Visitors can park elsewhere. So either valet park or move to the TTC after your ADR.

Technically, no. Parking for dining is restricted to a couple of hours.
If you're staying at a WDW resort and parking at the Poly for a meal and then leaving the car in a lot, there's a good chance (likely, but not guaranteed) that Security will not care. After all, it's not like you're screwing them out of a parking fee by parking at the Poly versus the TTC, because people staying onsite get free parking in the theme park lots anyway.
What would make them more likely to enforce the "don't leave your car here" rule is if the lot is so full, guests who are staying at the resort are unable to find a spot. Let's face it, if you're paying the dough-re-mi to stay at a Deluxe resort, it's really not fair to be unable to find a parking space because someone staying at a moderate or value resort decided to leave their car in a spot you should be able to access.
So if the OP does it (and if the OP is staying in a WDW resort), it's not likely your car will be towed or disabled, but it's not a sure thing you will be fine either, and you can't feign surprise if your car's not there.
However, if the OP is not staying onsite, and by using the Poly lot you're avoiding paying a parking fee, the odds of there being a problem would probably be higher.
One way to potentially avoid the issue - when you go to the Poly, pay for Valet parking.

I don't remember from previous trips. Does your resort parking hang tag display which resort you are staying at specifically? Is it a general Disney tag? Once you park for the breakfast, how do they know you are not a Poly car?

Yes, the parking pass a guest receives at check in (if there's a car) has the resort name in addition to the guest name and check out date. During busy times, the Poly issues a guest pass to be placed on the dashboard with a time expiration date (usually 2-3 hours after entrance.)

We stay at Fort Wilderness and frequent all resorts and upon entry have to show a parking pass. After that they let us leave the car. We have left it at all the monorail resorts including the poly and never had an issue. With that being said the Fort Wilderness parking lot is always packed with cars with different passes

Yes...but will be driving in to town that morning. We usually fly, but are able to cash in on a business trip and accent with Magic.....probably hang around 2-3 days in the World
In that case I'd say either a: check in to your resort first and get your parking pass - still no guarantee you won't have a problem but better odds, or b: check in first get your pass and just park at TTC which will now be free and walk to Poly as rec'd before; or c: my previous rec of paying for poly valet parking; OR d: check in to your resort, take bus from there to MK then monorail to Poly which would probably be the longest option.

Family and I did this last Nov. We were staying at Fort Wilderness and had an early Breakfast at Ohana. We drove and left our car there all day. We were worried abut it being towed. Just know its a gamble. Chances are you will be fine but you cant blame anyone but yourself if something goes wrong.

We gunna check in our resort and go from there....hate to bend the rules anyway and wanted confirmation a breakfast ressie granted/didn't grant privilege to park at Poly all day....

Thanks for the input homie :D
