Did you ever fly a kite in bed?
Did you ever walk with 10 cats on your head?
Did you ever milk THIS kind of cow? Well, we can do it, we know how!
If you've never done these things, you should! Because they are fun and fun is good!!

I need to read books written by someone other than a Seuss with a medical degree.
Can't argue there...

I referenced a useless fact tonight and a colleague was impressed (the nitwit that attacked Nancy Kerrigan' s name) and I told him don't be. I can't tell you who the first 10 Presidents were (despite being a regular in the Hall of Presidents) but I can recite Seinfeld episodes verbatim. Everyone has a gift, I suppose.

I'm actually fluent in it. And pig Latin. I used to speak real Latin but alas, high school was many moons ago.

I only remember one thing from Latin class: Semper Ubi Sububi which means "Always wear underwear". I couldn't conjugate a verb now if my life depended on it.

MIAMI — It's not that body parts never wash ashore on Florida beaches. But usually it's not an eye the size of a softball.
State wildlife officials are trying to determine the species of a blue eyeball found by a man Wednesday at Pompano Beach, north of Fort Lauderdale.
They put the eyeball on ice so it can be analyzed at the Florida Fish and Wildlife Research Institute in St. Petersburg.
Agency spokeswoman Carli Segelson says the eyeball likely came from a marine animal, since it was found on a beach. Possible candidates include a giant squid, a whale or some type of large fish.

I will attempt to field this question for your benefit. Why is it always Florida? Because this is going to be the home base for the alien invasion. Now, if you'll excuse me, I have to get my aluminum foil hat out of the closet.

OK - I just stepped outside and saw this guy on the side of the house....
mantis002-1.jpg

We had his friend on my front stoop the other day! I had just opened the door and was holding the door for the kids, the alarm was beeping to be turned off, Brandon had dropped a Lego sword on the ground and was trying to pick it up whilst not disturbing the praying mantis and my daughter was frozen, all the while I'm yelling over the beeping and laughing at the ridiculousness, "just get in the house so I can let go of the door and turn off the alarm - he's not going to take the sword - just get in the house!!!" I think my son thought he was going to take arms against us with the Lego sword.

I was reaching over to pick out some dead leaves from the patch of mums under this when he just caught my eye.

No RedSox cap so I think we're safe....
