Just got off Splash and saw this...

No tail and no gator. Just what looked to be an elastic string dangling where said tail should be. I guess it was accidentally pulled off.

I could be wrong but I think I remember reading somewhere (no idea where) that after the GF incident they removed references of alligators in the parks. Or it could be something totally unrelated.

Nope. It was there two days ago. It's obviously an error. That was also for a very short time

That's not a rumor. It really did happen, just for a short period of time like a week or something. And The Gator in SM however was never removed

Well, I hear that after age 40 or so, you're supposed to send your tail out to be checked by a specialist every 5 years.

Or that Br'er Fox suddenly grew white hair on the sides of his head. Looks like he fell asleep and Br'er Rabbit played a prank on him.

I'm not really understanding how any of you think this is on purpose. There's no way they're going to leave Br'er fox to have a string for a tail. This is awful show. I'll go back tomorrow to see if he's back. I can't see this lasting long

I also know for a fact that when there are no boats/logs coming they stand around drinking coffee. A warning buzzer goes off and they get into position. Apparently, the buzzer malfunctioned and B'rer Fox was out of costume and the gator missed it all together. (maybe in the Men's room) WHOOPS "bathroom" -from another thread-

Another explanation would be that since Disney is cutting cost these characters also play an earlier scene and Gator didn't make in time for this one. Fox lost his tail somewhere along the way in his haste.

Was just on today. The Gator and Tail are back again. However, Hopping Brer Rabbit wasn't there.
