You are shooting virtual projections like DarthJohnny said..... it will not actually shoot things toward the screen. It is just like Pirates at Disneyquest where you shoot virtual cannonballs toward the targets.

I just hope this means the end for that garbage chucky cheese esque Buzz Lightyear ride in tomorrowland at both Disneyland and Magic Kingdom.

If this ride is good/fun than whats the point of having an inferior toy story shooter in another park?

This ride will be a great addition to the park. It provides a much needed, fun addition for the families with young children.

So what if it isn't outofthisworldneverbeforeseengroundbreaking? A new ride doesn't have to be all that to be a success and to make the day's park experience better.

This thread proves the argument that if you ask enough people, you will find someone who will complain.

The vehicles look very cool. LARGER than I expected, and those are thick lap bars. What kind of action will we see on this ride anyway? Perhaps there is more to this attraction than meets the eye...of course, we shouldn't get the complainers hopes up too high...or they'll end up hating the final product even more...and then we'll get a million threads blasting it (pun intended?).

I know it might be kind of weird that I noticed this, but it seems odd to me for it not to be the proper name "Walt Disney World Resort" on an official web site...just happened to notice.

Sorry to quote myself, but I was cleaning out my bookmarks and decided to click on the TSM site...when you hold your mouse over the block it now says, "Ride the new attraction at Walt Disney World Resort."

At least somebody else noticed and fixed it!

Another big feature on the ride will be the ride's determination of the skill of each individual player. As you progress, the ride keeps track of the score and your skill level and will tailor make the ride easier or harder depending on your level of expertise.

While this is not confirmed, I had heard from a Guest relations vip tour guide that they plan on making different ride paths that will "unlock" or change as you score more or increase in skill. Not sure how that will work, but it would be very cool to have a ride in this vein that is not the same every time

I agree that this is not a super fix for MGM's attraction needs, it is certainly a start. Maybe if Star Tours 2.0 is any good and they add a few more attractions, Hollywood Studios (bleh I hate that name) will be a decent full day park.

That would be cool.

They describe it as a different ride everytime, so multiple paths could add to that experience. Here's hoping.

I'm very "meh" on this whole concept..

I have to admit I'm with Merf on this one. Where's a nice dark ride like NB-XMas (the NBC abbreviation confuses me so I use my own). At least open it up a bit like Buzz or MIB. This ride layout and the few short preview images make it seem quite claustrophobic. I'm not that interested in a ride full of video screens or projections with limited animatronics and I think they overestimate how many people are.
That being said I'll be there, rooting for it to be good, as soon as it opens!
