This is kinda a side question, but I didn't think Tennessee could go to the Rose Bowl unless it is the BCS Championship game

Indeed it is. We've got a tough schedule, but I think we have a National Championship-type roster. We didn't lose many seniors that played at all.

We'll see how it goes. LONG ways away.

Although Michigan is losing some impact players, like Braylon Edwards, they are only losing 6 starters....3 on offense, 3 on defense. With Hart and Henne having a year of experience under their belts next year, the Wolverines should have another great season.

Plus, they get Penn State, Ohioh State, and Notre Dame in Ann Arbor......the only big challenge will be Wisconsin in Madison and Iowa in Iowa.......

Oh yeah Michigan is in good shape as well.
I don't agree. Michigan just really seems to blow the big games, year after year. And without Edwards, Henne is going to have some real trouble, as the big WR was the only reason why they won close games, such as the Michigan State game. Without him, teams can play their safeties up to a) stop Hart and b) blitz Henne.

Just because Michigan has teams such as OSU and Notre Dame at home doesn't mean it's an automatic win. OSU beat Michigan in Ann Arbor in 2001 with a quarterback, running back, and defensive line controversy. Tressel has Michigan's number, and if Troy Smith is reinstated for next season, not only will they probably expose Michigan again, but they have are also in Rose Bowl contention, even the ESPN GameDay announcers have picked them as one of the favorites next year. Everyone saw in the past two games that Michigan simply cannot stop a running quarterback.

As for Tennessee, I really don't follow the SEC, so I really can't say. What I CAN say, however, is that the SEC is probably the strongest division in college football right now, so anything can happen there next year.

And how curious was it that Mickey's coin flip actually revealed the winner of the game? Man, that mouse is awesome!

Good post!!!! Just one little kink. Troy Smith has not been dismissed from the team or the university. He just simply will have to serve a two game suspension and will be back for next years game against Texas!!!!!

I do agree that the Michigan game next year will be a war!!!!! I wouldn't have it any other way!!!!! It is the best rivalry in sports and always leaves the loser with a bad taste in their mouth till next years game!!!!!

Also, I think Michigan could stop a running QB if........... they used their defensive personel correctly!!!!!

One problem that the U of M is going to have over the next couple years is the lack of recruits from Ohio they will be able to get!!!!! Lets be honest some of Michigan's best players have come from Ohio (Woodson, Gerbak, etc.) and in the future Carr will not be able to snag them from OSU!!!! Tressel now has a lock on Ohio for recruiting, as a matter of fact not one Ohioan in the top 400 for recruiting is leaving the state!!!!!!!!

As for the Rose Bowl............... That was a hard fought game, which knid of surprised me!!!!! But................ lets give credit where it is due-- Texas' coach Mac Brown severely outcoached Lloyd Carr!!!!! It seemed like Carr had no idea how to manage the clock and it showed!!!!!!!!

While I do agree that as of late Michigan has been blowing the big games, and games that they quite honestly should win, I don't think that losing Edwards is going to hurt them as bad as most people would think. They still have two great recievers returning for another year in Jason Avant and Steve Breaston. They can also utilize Hart out of the back field as a reciever which gives them 3 solid weapons in the passing game, and their TE isn't too shabby either(I'm not entirely sure what year he is cause I haven't been able to follow as much this year). Edwards will be a huge loss, but I feel that U of M still has some good wide outs on their roster. Michigan's main problem is Carr. I have been a firm supporter of Carr ever since they one the National Championship in 97, but since then, I have been seeing a serious decline in what he has been doing at U of M. I just feel it's time for someone new, he has had some EXTREMELY talented teams, like this year, and went nowhere with it. U of M could have played for the National Championship, but they blew two crutial games in the season. Which can be linked to Carr. I feel Michigan will be fine next year, but with Carr at the helm still, I don't think they can really compete for a spot in the top 5, but we'll see....

Well you won't have to worry about them on Sept. 10th 2005!!! That is when the 'Horns will travel to Ohio Stadium or "The Shoe" to get demolished by the Buckeyes!!!!! Vince Young better watch out for AJ Hawk that's all I have to say. Hawk has been known to make Quarterbacks (Chad Henne) look aweful and if AJ Hawk gets Vince YOung in the open field it will be "good night sweetheart" (Lee Corso)

Also, I must warn you about Ted Ginn Jr. as well!!!!! All Michigan fans know who I am talking about. Note to Mich. Fan--- REMEMBER THAT 82 yard punt return?

Just to give you a warning!!!!!! They will be very quiet on Sept. 10th and I can't wait!!!!!!
