official press photos

Hi all,

I would like to get hold of the official Disney press pictures (some of everything, but mostly Resorts and Special Events), the pictures they use in Holiday Brochures etc, for use on the web.

Can anyone point me in the right direction to an official source?

Press Images are on Disney's Press Relations page, but it's restricted to those who have press passes.

No it isnt, you just need to know a way around it. It can be accessed by everyone.

Quite often they are on ebay - I got 2 CDs full of opening and early years pictures.

So what would be the legality of just taking the pictures off the net?

And I take it they don't give out Press Passes on a whim!?

i've gotta warn ya tho ogryn, the official digital press pictures are extremely high resolution, and clock in anywhere from 5mb - 10mb

I was planning on trimming down the resolution. I just want some nice professional photos that I have permission to use, to go with guides on Hotels and events (like the Flower & Garden Festival for instance).

I am developing a commercial site, and I wanted it to look nice. Thanks for the warning though

well, if you are developing a commercial site, you may try to get permission from disney to use their files
