October is upon us, and with the most highly anticipated Halloween event in the state of Florida draws nigh. Last night, for the first timie ever, the cast members got a chance to explore the event first hand. While one cast would perform in the house, the other cast got a chance to visit other houses and see the event so far. Also, as a celebration for this first, all the scaracters and crew got a chance to see a preview of the Bill and Ted show. Not wanting to ruin a lot, I will give simple sentence descriptions of the houses my source went through.

Hellgate Prison- Really cool house, with some awesome effects.

Castle Vampyr- Seems to be the "cool" house rather than the scary house. Contains second level, amazing sets and bungie scares.

Disorientorium- Lame; filled with cheap effects.

House of Wax- Pretty cool, but has some forks that will cause back-ups.

Also during Bill and Ted, a bit of pyro landed up in the catwalks and started a small fire. No major damage, and the fire was put out shortly after it started.

Another also, Point of Evil is being completely rebuilt. It had to be taken down prior to Jeane, and now the builders are having to make up for lost time.

This weekend should be interesting.

Did your source mention if Bill and Ted was good? I can't wait to see it. :)

I'm not looking forward to Disorientorium....there have been reports that if you have to skip a house or two, then that is the one that should be.

Bill and Ted sounds great. The plot sounds far superior to the whole "remote" thing last year. Let's just say that Shaka Con will take on a whole new meaning. Tomorrow afternoon I will post what I know, but Bill and Ted's is notorious for changing a great deal between employee preview and the second weekend.

Any word on the Cornfield? (Or is that the "Point of Evil" you speak of?)

Just curious...I thought PoE was the entrance of IoA.

Also...did they have the parade at the preview?

From what I have been told the corn field was one of the major reasons there was no castpreview on wed., it also had to do with the fact that not all houses (like Disorientorium) are not finished due to the fact it was used as a shelter for ride out crews! I have also been told that the Bill and Ted show is very well done and a boarder line "R" and how could it not be when the opening starts off *Spoiler* highlight to see When Mary Kate and Ashley come out and Mary Kate who is Drunk Says to the Audience "Hey want to see the real Olsen Twins????" and then flashes the audiance*End Spoiler*

What I know about the B&T Show. Dr. Evil has kidnapped George W. and John Kerry because he wants to be President. He rounds up his goons at Shaka Con (say it to get it), who includes Mr. Burns. That's the general plot. The Hilton Sisters and the Olsen twins are both in it. Hellboy, VanHelsing, a fat Wonder Woman, Garfield and his wife Catwoman... and that's all I can remember from what I was told.

Alright --- we've got some of the first reviews in! :D

Ghost Town and Castle Vampyr have surprisingly taken the top spot, with Disorientorium being the worst of the seven. Bill and Ted's has recieved mixed reviews. Crowds for the first night were not bad at all, but I would expect them to be tonight as it is SOLD OUT.

From everything I had heard, Ghost Town is a lot like ScreamHouse in being a character driven house, with a strong story and powerful set pieces.

Castle Vampyr does sound like a very cool house. From the ornate sets and creative scenes and scares, it doesn't surprise me too much that it's recieving high acclaim.

6 Days and I'm there.

Depends on when you are going.....if it's a peak night, yes.....I'm not going on a peak night but I don't want to wait in any line (plus it's a good deal at only $20). I want to be able to do the houses and not get stuck in a line when I should be getting a seat for Bill and Ted's or a good spot for the parade.

Alright, I am having a problem right now......

So I ordered my ticket and Express Pass today, right? Well, I used my mom's credit card. After the ticket printed out, I took a look at it, and found this in bold.....

3. PRESENT THIS TICKET TO THE ATTENDANT - Show your photo ID and credit card used to purchase this ticket for verification.

Okay......well, I am the only one in my family even going to this event. I was going to USF during the day, and then when closing time rolled around, I had planned on going to the place where all the other Stay and Scream-"ers" go.

Well, does this mean I'll have to enter with everyone else through IoA at 6:30pm because my mom would need to show her ID and credit card? :veryconfu

I don't think so. When you get there I would ask Guest relations what you should do, or you could call them in advance. I don't see how it would be a problem, because it's your name on the ticket and you on your ID. I would talk to somebody there and ask them.

Just shipped them off an email. Will also give them a call in the coming days just to make sure. :)

The rest of the family would've come (I told them they will miss out on Bill and Ted's), but they are a bunch of "scaredy cats".....

I know what that's like... I'm trying to get my parents to go just for the heck of it... but I know they would hate me if they went.

So I finally recieved an email back.

You will need to have an ID and credit card in order to wait in the Stay and
Scream area of the park. There will be attendants within this area checking
tickets and ID's.

???

I need to bring my own ID or my mom's ID? This is way too confusing.

Maybe you should write up a permission slip and have your mom sign it for you.

:animwink:
