Eh, boring.

So, any other Muppet news?

BTW, how long does d23 last and is there anymore expect park announcements for any Disney park?

The only thing really left of the Expo is the premiere of Toy Story and Toy Story 2 in 3-D tonight. Everything is pretty much over.

Rapunzel was Holiday 2010 on boxofficemojo.com for at least a month.

Time Frame? What does this mean for downtime? Is DHS getting changes to the preshow as well?

What's the location on these? DHS? Downtown Disney?

What parks is the Muppet Mobile Lab Returning to?

I am not sure about the Whatnots Shop. I wouldn't be surprised if it lands in DTD just because it is a lot easier to find available retail space there. If it is going to be in DHS I would imagine it will go in that non-Muppet portion of the existing Muppet store. I don't know how much space a Whatnots Shop needs.

3:00 p.m. - Imagineering Pixar for the Disney Parks
Disney animated features have always come to life in the Disney parks. Now Pixar stories and characters are inspiring new experiences and adventures. Featuring John Lasseter, Roger Gould and Liz Gazzano of Pixar Animation Studios and Bruce Vaughn, Bob Weis, Eric Jacobson and Kathy Mangum from Walt Disney Imagineering.
Storytellers Theater

Unless they accidently slip something, that might the only possible event that might contain any Park news, but I doubt it.

Ya know that would be an excellent investment, because then you just tear it down and move it to another room if you didn't want it there anymore...:ROFLOL:

I think I might be on to something...:lookaroun

Is it just the teen actors there or is the guy who starred in Megas XLR before becoming part of that show there too?

EDIT: yeah just checked. David DeLuise is there at D23. I wouldn't be surprised if some of those older guys in line are Megas XLR fans. Was an awesome show.

Pretty sure Muppet Vision is just an upgrade from its current projectors to digital 3D, there will probably be some down time not nothing to major.

I just want to say I <3 Twitter.

Think of how different the past few days would have been if people at the Expo weren't able to instantly update us on each and every announcement. I sorta feel like I was there even though I couldn't get the time off of work to go.

Well...being a Florida resident and understanding that next year's D23 expo is supposedly going to be here in Florida (hope that is still their plan) we will have a membership and will attend...just because it looks like it was a lot of fun and hey its Disney! :)

There are no current plans to bring D23 Expo to Florida. Disney has reserved a week in early September at the Anaheim Convention Center for four years, from 2009 to 2012. There is not a facility large enough on WDW property to put on such a show, and you would also lose the corporate energy from having all of the other Disney divisions headquartered in SoCal being able to pull in a lot of star power for the event. (Studios, Animation, Pixar, Consumer Products, Adventures by Disney, ABC TV, Disney Channel, etc.)

That said, I now fully expect to see D23 Expo go into hibernation for at least a year, if not several years.

Attendance was not nearly as strong as they had hoped, and most of the attendance was from locals in Orange County and Los Angeles who just stopped by for a few hours one day out of the four. And anyone who went to the Expo can tell you Disney very clearly spent a mint on this thing! It was huge, lavish, customized, and very expensive looking! They likely took a huge loss on it.

The local Southern California media covered the D23 Expo extensively, and in interviews this week all Disney execs backed away from committing to a return of the Expo next September. The Los Angeles Times even quoted Iger as saying they don't know how often they will have this event now, and it may be "five years" before another Expo appears.

As much fun as it was, I would not be at all surprised to see D23 Expo be a one-hit wonder and fade into the history books never to be seen again. I think this might have been it for D23 Expo.

OMG this guy at the expo was overheard saying I didn't get to see you this week, it hurt my soul. Seriously, who talks like that.
