Off-Site or On-Site?

If this is our first time at Disney World, is it better to stay off-site or on-site?

I've said it before, but once you try an offsite rental house, you'll never want to waste your money on a hotel room again!

ITA with this. Having all that space is just so much more relaxing. And it's cheaper, too.

I know many of the off site hotels charge a resort fee and a parking fee for your car. Not all of them, but you have to make sure which ones do and don't. For example the Hilton in downtown Disney charges an extra 22$ a night for their resort fee and 13$ a night for self parking or 20$ a night for valet. That's a lot of extra cost added onto the nightly rate.

even swan and dolphin charge $$$ like $17 for I forget what plus $ 10 or more per day for parking if you have a car.
