October or March, that is the question.

So I have just gotten back from the world with my family and I am already planning the next trip with some of my friends! However, we are torn on if we should go in October or March.

If we went in October, we would go for a weekend,friday-early monday, and attend the halloween party.

If we go in March, We will go for 5-6 days (more time to save money) & I can drink around the world :D (we would go a week after my 21st birthday). However, we would be going during peak college spring break time.

Decisions.. Decisions...

October - hands down! Not only is there the Halloween party, but there is also the Food & Wine Festival. The weather is better, the rooms are cheaper, and there are less crowds. We went once in March and never again!! We have no idea what we are going to do in 2 short years when DD starts real school.

I agree with this. Aaaaand, if you're like my parents were, you wont have any trouble taking DD out of school for a week; as long as there are no laws or regulations now against that. =)

Since Florida ranks pretty low in education we are hoping the laws aren't too strict!! oh wow we sound like bad parents! As long as DD can handle it we're going to try it.

I've been in both March and October and October was hands down better than March. March was crowded with spring breakers. It wasn't horrible, but it wasn't fun. It was nice to see all the fall decor in October, as well as the F&W Festival. Whichever you choose I'm sure you'll have a blast. It's Disney after all!! :-D

LOL! Just as long as you can get all her work for the week, she should be fine. So many parent stress out over this. As long as you make sure they make up the work, it should be no problem.

I would do both, I am not partial to March but Easter falls on the 31 this year so I will arrive the Thursday before Good Friday. I loved the Easter we spent at WDW this past April. However I would not miss the foodie fest in October either... which is why I would do both. Sounds like in your case you would get more days and get to celebrate your bday if you chose March.:)

If you had said early March, I would see more of a decision to make, but peak Spring Break vs. October? No question - October! Not only can you attend MNSSHP, but you can also attend the Food & Wine Festival which is fabulous. The weather is great then, and the crowds are low (except over Columbus Day weekend and close to Halloween). No question, October.

Having only been in October, I can't really give a balanced viewpoint, lol but October is awesome! I love Disney all decorated for Halloween :)

I agree! We went this March to beat Spring Break - and the droves of Cheer and Dance groups killed us! OCT!

It would be early/mid march, the week of March 10th. I really want to go for the halloween party because I have never been before! Also I would love to be in the park not during peak times. I usually go only during, April or June. Thanks for all the responses guys!

October. I have never liked visiting in March, which is when we used to always go with my in-laws. I couldn't take the Spring Break crowds. We're visiting in early November this year, so I'm excited to be going to a non-peak time!
