Hello all! Just booked my vacation with my fiancé for October 16-22 at the All-Star Music resort.

I'm an avid Disney fan, have been there 18 times at just 26 years old. We're celebrating an anniversary down there(first nighf) and we were looking for some
Advice on what places would be a nice romantic dinner night.

I always get thr Dining Plus Plan when I go down so we'll have a sit-down dinner eaxch night. We were looking at either a place in Italy or France, over in Epcot to celebrate our anniversary. What restaurants do you guys like best for a vacation like this?

Any advice or tips would be greatly appreciated!

Was thinking of one of the 2 in Italy, just something nice and relaxing that hopefully many children wont be in. Have dined at Tutto Italia once, really enjoyed it, was thinking that may be the best option.

Jiko and California Grill, gets my vote. Jiko is quieter and more intimate. The food and service was better at California Grill. I was impressed that most of the customers at California Grill was dressed appropriately, with only a few in shorts and tees.

I would choose California Grill at the top of the Contemporary. I've said this before on the forums but I think its a perfect setting for an anniversary. It has a wide selection of food and wine. Great way to end the night is to watch the fireworks from the deck on top of the hotel. You get to dress up also!

But if you're looking in Epcot, I'd probably go with one of the restaurants in France. I've only been to Chef's de France which is really good. Le Cellier in Canada is another one to think about

Park locations tend to have a lot of children and guests in theme park clothes - not particularly romantic.
So does Cali Grill. For whatever reason the guests there have zero respect for the rules compared to the vast majority of the signature restaurants. The lure of the fireworks draws way more chaos into that restaurant than it's worth IMO.

The Experience I had at Cali Grill was great. There weren't kids running around and for the most part, everyone was dressed up. I remember that out on the deck to view the fireworks, it was all couples. Plus Cali Grill is signature dining and has a dress code requirement.

From the Disney site for California Grill

At this signature dining experience, Guests are asked to adhere to the dress code.

Men may wear khakis, slacks, jeans or dress shorts and collared shirts. Sport coats are optional.

Women may wear Capri pants, skirts, dresses, jeans or dress shorts.

Not permitted are tank tops, swimsuits, swimsuit cover-ups, hats for gentlemen, cut-offs, torn clothing and t-shirts with offensive language and/or graphics.

I know they have the dress code but in my limited experience (three visits), it's neither followed nor enforced.

Monsieur Paul is the way to go, but Tutto Italia is alright too. The only thing that kind of annoys me with Tutto Italia is the inconsistent portion sizes. Most of the pasta dishes are a good sized portion. However, I'd stear away from the Chicken Parmesan. For around $25, all I got was a pounded out chicken cutlet topped with marinara and parmesan and just a few pieces of gold potatoes on the side, no pasta at all. In the end, it all comes down to what type of cuisine you think you'll be hungry for as the menu's are quite different.
