Oceaneer's Club Questions

We will be sailing on the Dream in May and DD is finally potty trained (:sohappy:) so she wants to go to the Oceaneer's Club. Ok, my questions:

anyone know the hours the club is open?
will they feed her?
is there any place for her to nap?
any additional advice is very much appreciated!

The club hours can vary slightly from day to day but it's open from roughly 9 am to 1 am.

They will take the kids up to Cabanas to feed them if they are in the lab during meal times.

They will be fed.:)

Thread bump!! As my daughters will be there for the first time in these clubs, how does meal time work? I have also seen children being escorted around the ship on a group activity. Can anyone elaborate about how they are fed and moved around the ship. My daughters are almost four by the way. Thanks in advance.

At lunch time they have a selection of the typical kid stuff and they announce that food is served. The kids that want to eat go and sit down and are served. They do not make anyone eat and if your kids keeps on playing and misses lunch then they will not eat unless you come get them. When I cruised with my girls, I would just go and get them for lunch and then take them back. That way I could make sure they ate something decent. Plus we like to eat meals as a family and talk about what the others have been doing. I imagine dinner works the same way but I never paid attention since again, we eat meals together. They do have the menus that you can look over.

I think they feed them right there and I think they dinner is served at 6. Be warned though, my son did not end up eating anything because he was not in the mood, they wont sit them down and watch them, they sort of just give the kids the option to eat if the want. Not a big deal since you can feed them when you pick them up from a few options.

Another (minor) bump, we'll be going on our first cruise in november...when can we sign the kids up for the oceaneers club? Is that something you can only do once you're on the ship?

When we cruised at the end of Feb, the desk was no longer there FYI. The main checkin gave us the band, then it got locked when we went to visit kids club during the open house.

Our kid loves it. She loves to sit down and go through the various itineraries and plan out what she wants to do for the next day (tell me to make sure we get her to Super Sloppy Science, etc.). They will feed them, but I think we only left her for a meal there when we had a reservation at Palo. It's open all day, and is really go and leave as you please (so drop off for one of the fun things, pick up an hour later. Or drop off at say 1:00 for a few hours so we can go to the adult area to relax for a bit.).

Huh, that must be really new, or maybe during slower times they don't bother. My kids are older and do not need it but I definitely noticed on our last cruise in October that the desk was there. Either way, it looks like you can get the band before you get on the ship.

Yeah has to be very new, it was definitely there in September. There was a sign that it was fully booked when we got on board (so they couldn't do room changes), so who knows. I would be interested to know if this is a new policy going forward or something was going on for that week. At any rate, still easy and well worth it.

The cruise ship was (meaning there were no empty rooms), so the change wouldn't have been just because the ship had less people so they didn't feel a need to set up the counter.
