Obscure EPCOT photo

This may be old news to some, but I just found it. Normally when I see a photo of EPCOT, its not taken from this angle. I just found it to be an interesting picture. Its a nice view of EPCOT before the park was transformed at the Millenium. It looks to be from 1998/1999.

It's after test track but before horizons was demolished. Would that fit that time frame?

Horizons was demolished in July 2000.

The tombstones aren't in place yet, and I believe that was 1999.

JII was shut down in 98, so I would assume it was repainted after that.

I'd have to say this is 1998 or early 1999.

I'm guessing spring/summer of 1999. You can see the wand tower going up next to SSE.

I know in October 99 Test Track was open, Horizons was still standing, and the 2000 wand was up over SEE. We saw all of that on our honeymoon.

I didn't even seen the wand. It must be early 1999.

You can see the stub of the wand, the area for the tombstones marked off and under construction, and the beginnings of the Millennium Innoventions plaza architecture.

Also, the Millenium Village/World Showplace building is mostly complete. I'd say June/July 1999.

It also appears that Imagination only has half of its current color scheme. The other half is the old blue color scheme. It could appear this way because of the angle though.

Agreed, but thanks for sharing all the same. It's nice to look back and respect the past, although it makes me miss Horizans even more.
