There were some last minute changes but O' Canada will officially open on Saturday Sep. 1. Check it out, I'm sure you will enjoy the updated and humorous new film. Everyone thinks it is a great improvement!!

Are they still going to have the "Canada" song???
The song better make it through this update mostly, if not totally, unscathed.
I shall be very "put out" if it's hip-hop-icized, or re-imagined in any less-than-flattering manner.
In other words, I better still be able to wave my arms in the back of the circle-vision theater, feign holding up my lighter and sing along to "Canada (My Canada), you're a lifetime journey for the traveler . . ." That song was, bar none, THE best element of all of World Showcase.
And yes, I broke my many, many months of lurking just to add this tidbit.
Y'know how some folks around here fondly recall Horizons? Well, that's me with the "O Canada" song.

There are details about the film on MousePlanet's most recent WDW update. Martin Short hosts, and as someone else said Canadian Idol winner sings but it's the same song as before.
At least Canada can't complain anymore about the film. I wonder what the final deal was. It was the case that Canada b*tched about a new film and Disney said, "Fine, pay up," and Canada said, "Ummm, no, your attraction, you pay," and Disney said, "We're fine with the film." Then China ponies up the cash and wants a new film to tout Hong Kong and Macau and BAM, done deal. So did Canada give in or did Disney give in since Mexico changed and rumors are that Norway is changing. Or did Disney only do a new China film to foster goodwill as a result of Hong Kong Disneyland? Or none of the above, haha.

He's only played 2 seasons, what if he gets injured and never plays another game again. Guests would be like, "Who is that?" haha
Also they upgraded the audio system and so it sounds much better also. It sounds like there is either back up singers singing the chorus or she recorded both tracks and they mixed them together.

That's why he MUST be in the film right now. Canadians will never say "Who is that?" This is a film about Canadians. It is necessary. Besides, do they not have an editor that can change it?
It also MUST have Grapes!!!!!!!

Why not have Gretzky and Crosby as they are 2 of the biggest names to ever come out of Canada in terms of sports.I will never forget seeing Gretzky when he played his first professional hockey game here in Indianapolis as a member of the old Indianapolis Racers of the WHA.Too bad the owner sold him to Edmonton where he became the greatest player ever.He played like 8 games here and had 3 goals and 3 assists.He was only 17 and played well above the players around him.Also I agree Grapes needs to be included as well!
