NYE at Epcot (video and photos)

Pfft. I was on the monorail riding over Epcot at about 11:15pm and it looked like everyone was having a blast down there dancing. If I didn't have friends with me that didn't have APs I would've gotten off there with my BF and joined the party. Screw the rides. I would've shown up at Epcot at like 11:00...there was tons of parking up close to the entrance.

We ended up watching MK's fireworks from the beach over at the Poly. It was perfect. No crowds. We parked at the TTC and took the walkway to the Poly. Didn't even have to ride the tram because we were close enough. The fireworks after midnight were amazing.

Lol, well here's a video of the party from the fountain stage. It was pretty fun.

I was at Epcot and it was a madhouse New Year's Eve. The Fast Passes for Test Track and Soarin were gone by 1000am. I waited in line for test track for almost 3 hours. My four year old held on and loved the ride. I didn't make it to Mission Space nor Soarin, for they were both well over 230+ minutes by the afternoon. Going back in April 09', no more XMAS there. Loved it, but just too crowded. I didn't make it to Spaceship Earth either, 90 + minutes all day and I blew half of it on Test Track, but really wanted to ride it. It was something that we all could go on together for some thrills.

Dare I ask, who's singing?

You're just lucky I nixed some of the other parts.

That's A LOT of fireworks! Looks like Epcot turns into one big dance-a-thon by midnight.

Oh no. The whole place turns into a big partay-a-thon by 7:50 P.M. 4 stages are placed throughout the park: China, Italy, FutureWorld West, and the Innoventions Fountain Stage. Giant multi-color spot lights are on throughout the park all night. And party music is played in the main entrance plaza. It's so much fun. I highly recommend it to anyone. Don't go for the rides, you don't have to go for the fireworks, go for the parties. They're the best part of the entire night. DJ Scooter rules.

The rain did not help the day one bit. Reminds me of last years 31st, rainy and ugly.

I think it was in 2003 or 2004, for New Years Eve - it just poured down here in Naples, FL. My g/f at the time (now my wife) and I were going to go to Disney for New Years, but just decided to spend it at home instead.
