HI all:
So, I left off with the disappointment that was Epcot and the Garden Grill when last I wrote. Fortunately, things seemed to have gotten back on track for the most part thereafter and a good time was had by all.
After Epcot, the family spent their next day at Typhoon Lagoon. They were surprisingly adventurous as two of them do not know how to swim. They spent about 6 hours there and then went back to the CBR to rest for a while before heading over the the MK again. That night was MNSSHP night and I had booked them for 'Ohana prior to the party. Yay! They seemed to really enjoy it there. They said the food was quite good and they enjoyed all the activities. As you might expect, the party was a big hit. They said it was not crowded at all and they saw both parades and the fireworks and still managed to get a few things done that they wanted to do again. They were most excited about the photo opps with the characters in Halloween garb and were especially proud that they were able to get their picture with Snow White and all 7 dwarves. As far as candy goes, they said they were shoveling it in the bags by double handfuls and her daughter actually got a second bag and filled it to overflowing as well.
The next day was the final day with a planned out schedule. It got off to a bumpy start as they had breakfast reservations at Boma but went to the wrong place. All through this, I have given my nurse very detailed instructions to follow and she has always joked that I must think she is stupid. Well, this time, I just told her it was at Boma at AKL resort, since I did not want to make her feel stupid....she went to AK instead and kept asking the people at the safari how to get to Boma. (I had told her she would be able to see some animals from the resort, so I guess she figured that was where she was supposed to go) :ROFLOL:
That little bump aside, they had a wonderful time. They did agree with me that AK is definitely the best representation of Hell on Earth temperature wise as this day apparently was the hottest of their trip and of course, being at AK makes it worse. Nevertheless, they got it all done and like me, were ready to go in about 6 hours. After a nap and swim at the resort, they went to Chef Mickey's for a late dinner but did not give me much report on that.
The last day was a "free" day with the exception of a planned lunch at Whispering Canyon Cafe. This was the favorite of the trip with possibly only breakfast at CP rivaling it. They talked about eating at WC for about 15 minutes. The rest of the day was hitting the highlights at each park to do the things they enjoyed again, going to Downtown Disney for a while and finally, heading back to the MK one more time to see Wishes and Spectromagic which they had missed the first night of the trip.
All is all, they had a great time. Her husband is ready to go again and asked if he could go with my family next month LOL.
Thanks for listening!!:sohappy:
