Hey all. My sister (dizneylindz), my cousin, myself and a friend are planning a trip to WDW in November. Our goal is to catch the end of the food and wine festival, the beginning of the christmas season and my sister's birthday (nov 10th). We are looking at going Nov 7th to Nov 12th.

Do you think that is a good time to go and see both the festival and the christmas lights? I know the dates are not set yet, but I looked at the historical dates of both events.

Also, when do these dates usually go public?

Thanks!

We've been there the second week in November, and just missed the end of the Food and Wine Festival. We did see some Christmas decorations - the Christmas tree was up in the POR lobby by then that year - but Christmas was not in full swing. You'll be there for your sister's birthday, but that's about all you can guarantee at this point.

Alot of decorations are up at the beginning of Nov. And as the days go by more and more appear. the only thing you may not see is the Osbourne lights and all the Christmas music. Which depending on which resort your at may be in a different style. We stayed at OKW and the music they played was mostly steel drum christmas music.

Hm, intresting. I think the big thing for me will be the castle lit up, and the mickey's christmas party. I will have to chat with them to see what is more important!

Thanks for the info!

Just keep in mind that Jersey week is probably going to be that week. If you are not familiar with Jersey week, it is when many, many, many families from New Jersey go to Disney because the ALL of the kids in the state are off school due to teachers conventions.

Oh yes, that might be good to watch out for. When I was in DL in October, I was there with pretty much the state of Arizona, they had school off that week and the parks were pretty crowded. Thanks for the heads up, we might have to switch around our days!
