November Sweet 16 Disney Plan - Please critic

Hello,
We are heading to Disney World in November as requested by my teen for her Sweet 16 birthday

Hubby,(not a Disney fan :cautious:), daughter (9 years old), Teen (will turn 16 while in Disney) and myself are arriving into MCO on Monday November 5th from Toronto at 11:15am and departing MCO on Saturday November 10th at 12:15pm

I am hoping my itinerary is good to go however would love some critic and suggestions/tips
I still have time to change things around if needed as ADR is not for another 2 weeks
P.S. we do have hopper passes

Thank you :)

Day 1 (Monday)

Magical Express to Poly. Check in. Pick up Magic Bands (We are Canadians therefore they are not mailed to us)
Quick lunch at Captains Cook
Bus to DHS

FP+ Tier 1 (Possibly if confirmed) Slinky Dog Dash
FP+ Tier 2 a) Indiana Jones (hubby loves the movies)
b) Split between teen/ myself : ToT & Hubby/9 year old : Beauty and the Beast

**In the past, since our room was not ready, we would stay close by therefore monorail to MK however with Toy Story Land opening this summer, I have a feeling, we may not get the FP for the rides there therefore planning to tackle the land whenever we can, is that a wise choice? - See Day 5 as well**
First choice would be MK.

If we are going to be at DHS - Dinner at Sci Fi
If not, then maybe O'Hana or something on the Boardwalk maybe Beaches N Cream

Personal note: I would have loved to spend this day at Disney Springs but teen refuses to go there. May convince her yet especially we can manage to do DHS on Day 5
If Disney Springs planning is a success, then I definitely want to try Homecomin'

Back to poly to call it for the night

Day 2 (Tuesday)

8:30am ish Kona Café Breakfast
Day at Epcot

FP+ Tier 1: Test Track or Soarin’? ( Husband may like Test Track and remember we are trying to make him love Disney J)
FP+ Tier 2: Spaceship Earth/Meet Disney Pals at the Epcot Character Spot

And then try to get the Frozen Ever After FP if at all possible

No dining plan here as it is Food & Wine festival at Epcot and no dining reservations here. If we are able to, we will take a last minute Kona Café dinner reservations

Day 3 (Wednesday – Celebrating Sweet 16)

Birthday girl LOVES Winnie there

8:00am ish Crystal Palace
Day at her favourite park MK

FP+ Jungle Cruise (again trying to make hubby happy)
FP + 7 Dwarfs Train
FP + Big Thunder Mountain Train

6:00pm California Grill ( Birthday girls love sushi and figure this is a nice restaurant close by for sushi
Back to MK for fireworks (Birthday girl wants to be in the park for the fireworks)
**Was thinking of doing the Fireworks Dessert party but not sure if it is worth it?**

Day 4 ( Thursday)

This is our resort change day – Hubby has always wanted to stay at AKL and I am surprising him with the switch
Savannah view

8:30amish O’Hana Breakfast (girls love Lilo and Stitch)

Check out of Poly and drop bags off to be transferred
Off to DAK

FP+ Tier 1: FOP
FP+ Tier 2: a) Kilimanjaro Safari (hubby loves it) /
b) Split FP Teen & myself: EE Hubby & little one: Not sure what is close by

Head back to hotel around 3pm

5:30pm Jungle Skipper Canteen (always wanted to try this)
And stay on at MK for MVMCP

Day 5 (Friday)

9am Trattoria Al Forna Breakfast
This day was scheduled for DHS however if it really depends on what FP we can get/is available between Day 1 and Day 5
We may have to go back to DHS or may go to DAK again - open to suggestions

Will book FP+ accordingly

6pm dinner at Sanaa

Day 6 (Saturday – departure day)

7:30am Boma Breakfast
9:30am Leave for MCO (will probably take Uber so we don’t have to rush for Magical Express)

Flight departs MCO @12:15pm

Chances of FEA as a 4th FP very, very slim to non-existent.

Since DH has wanted to stay at AKL, is there any way to give him more time actually there? Would he prefer to have an afternoon there, maybe on Day 5? There is a kitchen tour with tastings, a CM led tour of Jambo and the artefacts they have there, plus even just time to chat to the CMs about the animals and their home countries is well worth it. There are also a ton of kid's activities in the afternoons/evenings. Also the starlight Safari at night time with the night vision goggles ( you can also use them at the outlook outside Sanaa, so allow some time there afterwards).

That's a good idea. I may just take the girls to one of the parks and leave him back at the hotel. I know he would rather prefer that. In theory if we can manage to do DHS on day 1 then Day 5 is whatever we decide to do.
On our last trip 2 years ago, I took the little one to Princess Aurora's tea party and teen and dad went horseback riding.

I did the fireworks dessert party a few weeks ago, and though I didn't care much for most of the all you can eat, bitesize desserts (I'm losing my "sweet tooth"), I am glad I did it, because I got a good spot to view the Castle without fighting the crowds. I heard people outside the gates of our area express envy of those of us in the special reserved area! But I just went alone--go with your three or four-people group and the price for the party really adds up! But if you have the money, go for it! You may end up loving the desserts since everyone's taste buds are different! Plus, if you don't get to go in the party's reserved area, you'll end up having to fight the crowds. And the crowds are pretty massive on Main Street before and after the fireworks.

Thank you.
I did think about ending her birthday at the Fireworks Dessert Party however considering that we are already doing the MVMCP, it can get expensive but definitely something I will think about :)
