November Crowds?

So as having been to Disney World many many times before, this will be my first trip in the month of November. Have never seen Disney decorated for Xmas before and we are all really excited!

Our travel dates are for Nov 12-17. I did my research online and crowd expectancy is low, however, I would like get some first hand experience on what I can really expect.

We are also doing a full day at MK the 15 and staying for the Xmas party...

Any feedback would be greatly appreciated!

Love a little Disney every day!! ;)
November/Dec is our favorite time to go. Glad yall are going to the Christmas Party as me and DH go every time and really enjoy it!! Don't miss the special Holiday Wishes fireworks show they do only at the Party! :) Crowds will definately be lower. Park hours are not as long but with the smaller crowds it really does not affect being able to get a full day in. Christmas Decorations are absolutely beautiful! Very magical time to go! Make sure to go to HS to see the Osborne Dancing lights. They should be up while you are there but im not sure of the exact date they will start this year. Usually not alot of rain like In the summer months. Tempatures are mild. Should be warm but not hot and at night it tends to be cool and a jacket may be needed. Could have colder weather or hotter weather but you just never know with Florida weather! Lol. Much like our weather in Louisiana so your best to pack a little of everything. We go every year around these times and can't imagine going any other time! We may one day go for the Flower and Garden Festival in the spring but other than that this is the time we enjoy the most. If you would have been there end of Oct/beginning of Nov I would have said to make sure to partake in the Food and Wine Festival at Epcot but y'all be be getting there right after it ends. We enjoy that too but the last 3 trips we keep choosing Christmas time in early Dec. Can't beat it! :)

We go every year for Thanksgiving. It is great the weather is mild and the decorations are beautiful. Be aware though the Christmas tree at MK will not be up. They can not put it up until after they film the Christmas parade in early December. The Osborne lights have always been up when we are ther, just not sure when they start.

Thanksgiving is late this year, so you should be far enough away from those dates to see the Thanksgiving spike. You may see some slightly higher crowds around the 12th since some people who get Veteran's Day may make a long weekend of it, but I doubt it will be too bad. Jersey week coincides with Nov 7-8...so again, you're missing that crowd-wise too.

We went just before Thanksgiving last year and while the crowds built as we got closer to the holiday, the early days of our trip felt pretty light.

My trip isn't until 2014 but glad to know about small crowds. I picked my dates around MNSHP, MVMCP and Food&Wine but I was a little afraid of crowds. How Jersey Week affects crowds and waiting times? I already know to avoid EPCOT on Fridays and Saturdays, should I take anything else into consideration?

Me and DH like Fridays at Epcot b/c that's when the evening EMH usually are. Crowds are not any more busy in our opinions just b/c it's Friday or Saturday even durning F&W. :)

Everyone warns about F&S being full of locals using it as a kind of happy hour, that's why I commented on that. Then again, early November might not draw a big as a crowd like October?

My main concern is drunk people. I stopped drinking around 3 years ago and I find myself much less tolerant of inebriated people nowadays.

We never really noticed any drunk obnoxious people any time we are there even on weekends and we have been durning F&W and other weekends Oct-Dec. If there is and CM's notice they are usually asked to leave before it becomes a problem. Only time I saw a girl drunk so bad she was sick in the bathroom sink was durning the week and in the middle of the day. Lol :)

My normal visiting time (when I plan on being normal :p lol) is Thanksgiving Week. I usually leave the Saturday before and come back the Saturday after. Weekend is busy but do-able. Monday, Tuesday...pretty good. Wednesday definite increase in the crowds. Come Thanksgiving Day - it's busy! That is part of the fun though..the crowds, the kids ear to ear smiles..knowing it's the holiday season and being in the happiest place on Earth! Will you have to wait up to an hour for certain rides if not longer (if you choose to wait...) YEP! Just make sure you PLAN! Planning is key to any good trip - Disney or otherwise --- :):D

Thanksgiving is late this year, its usually always the 3rd week of Nov, but this year it's the 4th week, so out trip will be essentially 2 weeks before the holiday! I hope our trip is not crowded...

Like I had mentioned you should not have any bad crowds unless you are there the week of Thanksgiving. That's really the only week in the whole month that is extremely busy. So have no worries! Hope you have a wonderful trip! It is a wonderful time of year to go crowd wise and weather wise. :)

There is a huge teachers' conference in NJ every year (even since I was a kid)...it's like a 4-day weekend for the kids, so a lot of people make a whole week of it and head to WDW. Some people say it makes no difference in volume while others say it does. I never knew people from NJ went to WDW during this time until recently...didn't even know anyone who traveled at this time. Then, last year, about 6 of my NJ friends took their respective fams for Jersey week.

I have been the week before Thanksgiving and the crowd level was low until Wednesday prior to Thanksgiving. We loved the Christmas party when we went. It was not during that trip but a few years prior when we went. Loved it! :)
