Nov. MVMCP

We are going to WDW Nov.8-15 and have tickets to MVMCP. From what I have been reading about the party it sounds like the performances, etc, won't be shown until Dec. If I am paying the same as the December tickets I am hoping that this info is wrong. Can anyone tell me what the party will consist of when I am there? Thanks

I have looked at that website and I guess from what I have read that things like Mickey's Night before Christmas and the castle performance aren't going to be performed during my stay. I don't mean to sound dumb but I have never been to MVMCP or WDW for 18 years. I want to experience it all!!! I believe that the parade and fireworks and cookies etc. will be available but some of the performances will not be, am I correct?

As far as I'm aware, all the Party events take place at all the parties. I first went to the party in 2006 and our date was in November and all of the events listed were available during the party. All the special stage shows, fireworks, everything.

I wouldn't worry at all! There are some things at other parks that the dates have changed for christmas time. But MVMCP is the same events at every party from the 1st party, to the last.

I won't be attending MVMCP while I'm there...but will be there Nov 9-15, so SEE YA AT THE WORLD!!!!!!! :D

this brings up a good point by the original poster and I understand what they are saying. I also have read that alot of the holiday decorations wont be lit until after Thanksgiving. As where in years prior they were on early to mid Nov. So my question is if the castle isn't being lit til after Thanksgiving, will it be the normal castle for the parties or will they light it just for the parties?

That's a very good question considering the lights will be all on and ready to go at that time. I wonder if they will now make it apart of the party for the ones prior to Thanksgiving.

The parties start I wanna say Dec 10th. You will be able to see the Mickey's Once Upon a Christmastime Parade, TWAS, Celebrate the Season, and holiday wishes along with many other special tidbits that are avaliable only at the parties. The daily ops for the events that happen during the parties usually happens the week of chirsmas. hope that helps.

The parties start in Nov. sometime after halloween. Just wondering if you made a typo for Dec instead of Nov. Because I know Dec 10 is wrong. I am going on Dec. 2nd

You should expect all of the decorations to be up at the Magic Kingdom due to the MVMCP events. All of the events that are part of the party will occurr on each party night (weather permitting).

Here's what you might be thinking: Some of the events that occurr only during the parties, will occurr during normal park hours right after the last party in December. Also other events, such as the Castle lights, which are not part of the party may not be started until after the first party beings.

I to will be attending a party prior to Dec 10 so I know that the parties start prior to that date. I'm going on Dec 4.

Not sure about the Castle Dream Lights but I know MK will be decorate and the lights on the tree/garlands will be lit for the party. They may not be lit on non-party nights. Also things like Holidays around the World at Epcot and the Osbourne Family Lights won't be lit until after thanksgiving.

What you are speaking off is the events in the other parks. Last year, everything, including the Osborne Lights, the AK Parade, and stuff started in November - the same week as the parties in the MK. This year, they have all been pushed back to Nov 28 - except the MK party. This kind of rots because we planned our trip once the dates of the MK party came out and are going the week of Nov 10 - so we are bummed that we won't see Osborne Lights this year. But we do have tickets to the MK party and we will have to deal with that.
