We were at the parks 15 Nov-1 Dec 2005, it was starting to quieten down from the Thanksgiving rush on our last couple of days, so I think you should find this a great time to visit.

I've read that the first week in December until the week of Christmas is one of the quietest times at WDW.

I was once told that the week after American Thanksgiving was the slowest week of the year. That said, there really aren't any slow times anymore. February before Presidents' Day is also supposed to be slow, but I can tell you last week was quite busy compared to previous trips I've made this time of year.

Thanks guys for the quick replies....I picked these dates thinking I would be ok crowd wise seeing as the thanksgiving crowd is gone and the christmas crowd hasn't come in yet. As for there being a "quiet" time in the parks I know that doesn't really exist anymore but I've never seen the decorations they put up at disney and really want to see them this year without the HUGE crowds :)

I would say that week, the one after and the week before Thanksgiving week are nice and quiet. I am tentatively planning on going that week as well. Only glitch would be if they are filming the Christmas parade over the weekend, but that only affects MK during the day.

I was just there

POFQ Nov. 30-Dec. 1 2006. The only crowded day was Saturday at MGM. We went to the MVMCP Monday night and felt like we had the park to ourselves. It was incredible. The crowds were very light, and the weather was unusually warm for that week - in the mid-80s. We only had one day that was cool - and that was a high of almost 70.

We are going from Dec 4-14, and while we don't anticipate that its going to be a ghost town, lines should not be hours long. We usually go this time of year. The weather is usually quite nice (60-70 F) and the decorations are fantastic! The Osborne lights at the MGM make it worth the trip alone!

I do recall it being kind of crowded at the MK during the parade taping, but its easy enough to just head to a different park that day. Also, I've heard if you are staying at one of the All Stars or Pop Century, you might run into the cheerleading crowd. They really aren't too bad in the parks, though.

We always go at this time of year and while the lines are short I would recommend that you make ADRs for any restaurants you particularly want to eat at as quite a few we tried were fully booked.

I love this time of year as all the decorations are up and it looks wonderful
