Not to break up the party, but who exactly is the source for the rumors of the SSE reopening being pushed back?

Yes, my question exactly. I know the Disney website says it's closed the 13th, but open the 14th and I also know that probably doesn't mean anything but I was wondering the same thing. I'm hoping it is open by the 14th as I will be there that week but I'm definitely not counting on it.

Thank you both very much! Im going to be working on getting it onto a shirt along with a large SE logo - I just can't decide whether to put the logo on the back and my image on the front or the other way around.....:shrug:.......Suggestions?

My personal style of choice is when the larger image is on the back of the shirt and the smaller image is on the front left chest, or front center. That's just what I like though, maybe someone else will give a different opinion. Either way it's a really nice design

Got a quick morning update for you. I made some small changes to the logo design I posted before - mainly just some shadowing on the text on the moon section as it was a bit hard to see.

I also uploaded a higher resolution file of the image. (Makes a decent desktop background but does pull out a bit on 16x9 screens unless you center it.)

Once you click the link you may have to hover your mouse over the image and then click the expander icon in the lower right hand side to get the actual full size image displayed so you can save it. It looks pretty good at the higher resolution.

Seriously now - I didn't start this thread so I don't wanna seem pushy but does anybody want to be the organizer for this thing and also should we start a new thread with the title actually being the event name?

I really wanna see this happen! Im working on some other stuff regarding this idea right now too.

I'd like to hear from Merf and some of you others who have posted so far to see who wants to do what and who wants to help organize.

Like I said - I didn't come up with the idea by a long shot so I don't wanna stick my nose where it doesnt belong but I definately want to help in whatever way I can! :sohappy:

It would all depend on how much you want to do that day and who is willing to stick their neck and sometimes credit card out. A group ride is no big deal, like you said meet here and X get on the ride together at Y. Desert buffets and history walks require quite a bit more planning and coordination with Disney.

Why so late? Anyone else spend over an hour hanging out infront of Nemo waiting for it to be not broken?

1pm-3pm Mandatory purchase of Ice Cream from Fountain View, including repurchase if line fails to form

3pm-9pm SSE status watch. Incase it didn't open in the morning, we wait around and hope it opens. We'll set up home base in the Merfcove, with recon teams in Gateway Gifts, the front fountain, and in Project Tomorrow.

Yeah...just those that will be there. I don't think we should plan anything for the first few hours, since Spaceship Earth will be what everyone is doing. (many times...heh!)

I DO like the idea of having a contest to see who's best at the post-show games....I know if you're like me you know to play pretty well!

I like this schedule. Im wondering as far as group things go, what if we had a EPCOT trivia constest somewhere in the shade for prizes. (I'd be willing to pitch in on this one.) I could see that getting pretty funny.

Im also wondering: what about dinner? Could we set a preffered location for that as well? - Perhaps over at The Land as it does offer plenty of options and keeps us in Future World.

I so believe we need to contact Jim Mcphee at Epcot as he mentioned a couple times at Celebration 25 that had he known sooner he would have done even more. I totally realize we arent gonna be anywhere near the size of Celebration 25 but it sure seemed like he really did appreciate that groups effort so it couldn't hurt but to ask for ours.

1 - As far as a coordinator - Not me. I am a great helper and joker but not a really big planner.

2 - Thanks for posting the shirts and the link to get them - and buttons - I will get some shirts and even some buttons to hand out.

3 - As far as being a large group of about 100 - if the opening day is on a weekday I don't think we'll get that many people. Granted I really don't know what I am talking about - just guessing SSE opening is for the real die-hards. Or am I delusional? I dunno....

4 - Not sure about contacting Disney - aren't we all allowed to get together at the park without going through the 3rd degree?

I am sooo excited about this get-together! I had wished SSE would be open during the 10/1 festivities - now I am glad it was not open - we have another reason to get together! :sohappy:

I have a whole lotta time on my hands since baseball ended at the Trop if anyone wants me to keep all our info together and stuff, but it seems like we already have alot of input going from several people, so maybe we're good...

I second the question about screen names on the buttons for those who can't swing a shirt right now.

I don't think we have to contact Disney unless the group starts to get really big. For just riding rides and such we should be fine don't ya think?
