Effective immediately, Disney's Resort Airline Check-In Desk will now accept one bag per passenger for Guests who fly Northwest Airlines and US Airways due to the excess luggage fees that are now collected by the airlines.

Guests with multiple bags who fly Northwest Airlines and US Airways will need to check the additional pieces through the airlines' ticket counters at Orlando International Airport.

Hey JP...Any word on when SouthWest will start this service? We heard last year this time they were working on it and should be done soon, now its been almost another year and still no word?
We fly SW from Indianapolis getting there is easy but coming home..WOW.. what a nightmare that was:eek: all to just check a bag for return trip. The resort (POR) was kind enough to print our Boarding Pass's for us, which made it a little faster to get thru line. Called SW and operator really did not know what I was talking about?

There currently is no word on if Southwest will participate with Disney's Resort Airline Check-In Desk service anytime in the near future.

I usually have 2 bags my fiance has one... if i book thru us airways and pay the 25.00 at the airport, do i have to pay 25.00 at the return flight too...
will the magical express bus take all 3 bags to the airport?

Disney's Magical Express will happily transport as many bags as you wish on the Motorcoach. This new policy only applies to the Resort Check-In Desk service, as the Desks are not currently set up to accept any form of payments.

Its my understanding that the excess luggage fees are collected separately for each way. You would need to check directly with your Airline to determine what the fees would be for each additional piece of luggage.

American Airlines just started this 2 bag policy 2 weeks ago. One checked and one carry on is all you can take per person.

I guess the next thing is pay toilets if you have to go inflight!!!!

We just used American on Monday and we were allowed 2 checked bags without an extra charge.

Get a hotel with a washer and dryer maybe? And you can also have ur carryone bag as another bag to fill with clothes.

WDW is my escape from laundry. I always use that as my excuse as to why I don't fly. In all honesty, I'm not afraid of flying but I love the drive to WDW. There are other places I would gladly fly to rather than drive. The drive to WDW helps build my excitement. There are landmarks I always look for like the billboards for that one place that sells everything...I can't remember what it is called.
