We have some family members staying at the contemporary and some staying at bay lake towers. Is it easy for everyone to swim at the same pool? I know you are not supposed to but the family will want to try it so wondering what I am in for.

Thanks!!!

Google it. People here don't like to discuss it, and these threads often get closed fairly quickly... a simple search for "pool hopping at Disney World" returns a ton of information on the subject.

Believe it or not, we asked when making reservations and were told it is possible. I am a rule follower so I wanted to ask.

I did not realize I shouldn't ask here.

If we are talking some babies in the party, a water park is not always the best idea--i do know that.

I wouldn't say that you shouldn't ask... it's just that those threads have apparently gotten somewhat heated before so the admins tend to close them lol. No harm done... I too would think taking little ones to a water park would be a hassle.

As far as I know, the BLT pool is for BLT guests only, but the Contemporary pool can be used by guests at either the Contemporary or BLT.

You can definitely all use the Contemporary pool. That one is for all guests. The BLT pool is reserved for BLT guests, and it's very small and gets crowded quickly, so even though you could all get in using the MB from the guests staying at BLT, it would be more considerate to use the one at Contemporary and leave the other one for BLT guests only.

yup. and to be honest the Contemporary pool is bigger and has a better slide and for bigger kids has the afternoon pool party. you're better off there versus the blt pool anyway.

Thanks! I hesitate to reply any more because you have warned me I may have overstepped my boundaries. Family at blt are not members--if I am using the right termology. It's great to know about the pool party. Thanks.

I'm glad you asked because I asked the same question last week after searching and not finding an answer but my thread was locked in no time for some reason.

Probably because it is against the rules, and the subject can get pretty nasty.:devilish:

I will tell you that asking at the time is the best thing to do. The lifeguards are in control of the pool deck, and what they say goes. No one can grant you permission to pool hop ahead of time, but the lifeguards are known to allow it IF the pool is not too crowded.

Can't you swim at either POR or POFQ if your staying at either resort?
And I think the All Stars can share. Maybe AKL and Kidani too but not sure on that one.

Your question was answered with both the "official" response, and anecdotal responses. So there was no reason to keep it open. It may not have been the answer you wanted, but your question was answered.

The OP in this thread has been given the "official" answer - all of the family should plan to meet at the Contemporary pool. It may not be the answer the OP wanted, but it is the answer nonetheless. So, again, there is no reason to keep the thread open.
