Can I throw a mini tantrum?

Back in early July when the park hours came out for September we made all our Priority Seatings. For September 29th Wishes was scheduled for 8:00, so we planned an entire night around that. Myself, my husband, my best friend, her husband, and another couple were going to drop our kids at the Neverland club and have a nice dinner at 'Ohana during Wishes. We had reservations for 'Ohana at 6:50 and reservations at Neverland club at 6:00.

Well of course, Disney (yesterday I think, because we've been checking the calendar all along) went and changed Wishes to 9:00 instead of 8:00! So I called today to try and move our priority seating to an hour later, and of course they don't have anything available. So we're really bummed about this!

I don't even personally like the food at 'Ohana (too spicy) and I eat off the kid's menu. The only reason I go there is because it's so awesome to watch the fireworks during dinner!

I've heard that there's a specific spot at the Polynesian where music is piped onto the beach, but you can only hear it from that one spot. Is that true? If so, where is that place? I guess our only option now is to watch from there since we'll miss it during dinner.

Laura I kinda know how you feel. I'll be down there next week and I have a PS for Cali Grill for Tuesday night. When I made ressie, Wishes was at 8:30 and the latest earlier time I could get was 6:20 - not bad, I can make a good meal last 2 hours. Then a week or two ago, I noticed on WDW's calendar that the time was moved back to 9:00. Now I wish I had booked a 8:50 or 9:00 res. Now I'm thinking of just strolling over to MK after the meal and watch the show from MainStreet

I think that waiting for a table by the window is a great idea. Even though you have kids- they might surprise you (or they might throw tantrums- I know how that goes :D) Hope everything works out one way or another for you!

We would, but we will have 2 young ones in our party who are too little for Neverland Club (though the older 3 are going to Neverland). When you have toddlers there is no such thing as a slow, relaxing meal! You eat as fast as you can before the tantrums start.

Anyway, we're just going to eat fast and then go sit out on the beach for the fireworks. I'm still bummed, but I'll live. I'll probably see Wishes 5-6 times during the trip anyway since we have a lagoon view at Poly.

We've done both, viewing from Ohana and Poly beach. Viewing from the beach, especially with small kids, was the most relaxing and enjoyable for us anyway. I'm sure you'll have a great time!

I stayed in the Hawai longhouse in June and could not hear wishes from my patio (ground floor). I had to go up to the lounge to really hear it well. Frankly it is much better from inside the park than at the Poly, which is really a pretty good distance. Make sure that you see the Electric Water Pagent, which I think goes by right at 9:00. You can hear that from the beach and my kids really liked it a lot.

Besides, call me a purist...but I can only really experience the show from Main St. inside the park. Watching it from the room, restaurant or even the beach is...kinda like watching it on TV. JMHO
