I know that no one is surprised by this. Bennigan's went way down hill years ago. Quite honestly I am surprised that it took this long for them to go belly up.

That stinks.... I used to love going there.

I think it hit its peak in the 80s being a yuppy type place to go then in the 90s it lost its fire and went downhill.

I used to love 2 things there.
a- the Monti Cristo Sandwhich
b- the fried shrimp with the hotwing sauce with side of blue cheese.

I better go there again real quick I guess.:(

Their turkey sandwich made with pretzel bread was awesome and they had pretty good fajitas and a great imported beer selection. For a long time it was a good place to get a decent dinner at a reasonable price. It was never out of this world but it was consistent and on par with your typically Chili's or Ruby Tuesdays. The last one I had near me in Jacksonville closed months ago and it was no big surprise. When the Chili's and the TGI Fridays across the street had hour waits and there were maybe 20 customers in Bennigan's their fate was pretty obvious.

overpriced? i remember in the fall of 07 they had draft beer for $1 and pitchers for $5....
wow... I never saw those specials. Ale House pitchers are cheaper IIRC... like $3.50 for a pitcher of (ugh) MGD.

Disney talk,Green Beer, and Monti Cristo....SAWEET!!!

that thread got buried didn't it? We could either have it at Bennigans or a safer place like Idaho. Good lord the crime rate has jumped here in Indy this summer.
