We are arriving in Orlando on December 16th but staying OFF PROPERTY in a timeshare. I was wondering if the Disney Resorts allow people from off the proprty to eat in the resorts? I think it will be a nice prelude before MVMCP that night. I plan on taking the family to Pop Century around 2pm for lunch then driving to the Magic Kingdom for MVMCP. Is it possible to eat lunch at Pop Century if I am not staying at a Disney resort?

Well, then, let me make THIS suggestion...

go to Downtown Disney, and unless you're absolutely starving and must eat that nanosecond (it could happen), take one of the water launches to one of the launch accessible Disney resorts (my choices, in order, would be Port Orleans Riverside, Port Orleans French Quarter, then Saratoga, then Old Key West. You'll get a little time at DTD, you'll get a little time with that Disney resort vibe, you get a nice little ride on the water launch, all good all around.
Excellent suggestion!

At these resorts you can get the food court vibe and standard fair with a little extra theming in both the atmosphere and the food.

Have fun on your vacation!

Just out of curiosity, of all the amazing places to grab some food at Disney, why choose the Pop Century food court? Is there a particular item you love on the menu or something?

There is for me - the fish of the day dinner. It's always salmon and comes with orzo pasta with spinach, sautéed green beans (cooked in a wok with onions and chicken stock) and a roll. It cost about $9 and is very tasty.
