Noise problems at Pop Century

Did anyone who has stayed at Pop Century ever have any problems with noise from other rooms, traffic noise, or construction noise? The Unofficial Guide to WDW says that this may be a problem. However, I am aware of the fact that they often tend to be negative and excessively critical of Disney. Just thought I'd check! :animwink:

We were told that the pool closed at 10 and the noise wouldn't be a problem when I've stayed there. The first time I stayed there (and it was my first at a value, so didn't know what to expect) it was VERY loud at night. We would hear kids running up and down the halls and then lots of people in the pool from 3-4am, so it would make it hard at times. I found that pool views or any "interior" room will be louder than a parking lot view near the back of the property.

Depending on teh locATION OF YOUR ROOM YOU COLD END UP INSIDE NEAR THE POOLS or outside near the highway. You can request a inner room at the time you book your vacation.

I've stayed at Pop 5 or 6 times. I have never had a noise problem - even when poolside. You can hear flushing from time to time, but I usually bring a small desk fan when I travel. I like the white noise and the air circulation.
