Add me... I have sent an email to the address posted. Here's hoping that the Country Bear Christmas Show goes on this year, I really would like to see it! :xmas:

People....this is all great, but you have to remember to do 2 VERY IMPORTANT things when you write:

1. Use the US Postal Service to deliver your letter - NOT EMAIL!

2. Keep it MUCH SHORTER than some I've seen here. I know you've got a lot to say, but the person reading it does not have a lot of time to read. Make it short and to the point, using bullets when possible.

Keep up the good work!

I sent an email last year. This year I send a letter via the Post Office.. Now I just have to go buy some stamps. (Internet Age... Who need stamps! :hammer: )

Yeah, it had been so long since I last sent a letter that I had to use 2 cent stamps to get me to the current cost.

We're going down to WDW for Christmas for the first time ever this year. I'm bummed we won't get to see the CBJ holiday show. :( I think the kids really would have liked it.

Just an FYI:

I just got an email back from Disney, thanking me for my letter and that no decisions with regards to the X-Mas CBJ show have been made at this time and that my input was appreciated. Pretty basic response, don't know what's gonna happen, hopefully they'll re-consider.

Well they'll be getting a letter addressed from my son this weekend.

Everyone else--if you have written a letter, encourage your significant other to do so too! Have everyone you know send one. If not for your love of CBC, but for what this cutting corners represents (slippery slope arguments ARE valid with the way Disney makes its decisions). Today it's this, tomorrow...who knows.

I could personally care less about the country bears, but I like the idea of saving the CBJ Xmas show on principle. From what I'm told, the Country Bear Vacation Hoedown was the best show, but they ruined the master tapes or something? (anyone know for sure?) If nobody minds, I'm willing to snail mail some type of form letter, maybe a copy of one of the letters above, with a few variances. I won't steal anyone else's letter without permission though. Let me know

Well, this is interesting. I got a personal email from the executive offices at WDW requesting I call a specificed number to discuss my comments concerning the XMas show personally. I'm going to call it tomorrow, and I'll let you guys know how it goes. :)

I called the number a few minutes ago - I got an answering machine, but it said she would call back if I left my number. Again, I'll let you know how it goes when she calls. :)

Just an FYI

I received a phone call today from Disney and a cast member named Steve asked if he could speak to me about my email regarding the cancellation of the x-mas CBJ.

He went on to tell me that they have received a great deal of feedback regarding the rumor that the show would not be taking place, he then went on to assure me that at this time no decision to cancel the show had been made and also told me that they were carefully reviewing all of the feedback and would be making a decision shortly.

I say keep writing because this is the second time I have been contacted by Disney regarding my email. The first was via email and this time it was in person. So let's keep up the pressure and maybe we'll make a difference

I still have not had any contact from WDW since I sent them my feelings on the matter. I will be down there tomorrow :sohappy: and will stop by guest services to express my opinion.

Good thinking; the more contacts via different methods Disney receives, the better. It doesn't seem like our 'campaign' really had that great of a reception; I guess Screamscape readers wrote a lot of letters (or lurkers here)?

I got a call from WDW this morning stating that they are sorry but it will not be returning this year :( (but there will be a number of other holiday festivities, not falling on deaf ears, etc etc).

Also what's weird is I didn't put my phone number in the letter so they tracked me down in their system (or via the phonebook)

Hmm that's interesting about the CBVH audio by master tapes do you mean the ones used to run the actual show? because in '02 the bears in FL got digital audio and supposedly all 3 shows are in the system (just a matter of changing the program data for the correct show.
