Good Morning All. Well the Christmas shopping is all done and the parcels wrapped and are sitting under the Christmas tree, but what I'd like to know is,how much do you spend shopping at WDW.? I don't mean on food or drink,I mean souvenirs. For example, this year I worked it out ( roughly ) for our two weeks we spent about $1000.00 that's around £750.00. So roughly how much do you spend on souvenirs.?:)

We definitely talk before the trip about what we are planning on getting and then we factor in a little extra because we know there will be something new we'll want. We're taking $500 this trip for souvenirs/tips, but we will only be there 5 days. In the plans are a baby's first Christmas ornament, something from New Fantasyland, a Mickey Christmas tree skirt and a couple surprise Christmas gifts for the kids. We'll also give our son some money that he'll get to choose how to spend. Oh, and some will be spent on goodies from the confectionary to bring home!

We spend about $500.00 to $750.00. I get a watch and some ties. My dear wife will by a sweatshirt, socks andthings like that. We will also get somethings for the house Christmas decoration, salt & pepper shakes, etc. My son now a teen spend most of his money in the World Showcase.

Wow you're extremely organised. I've finished my shopping but it won't be wrapped and placed under the tree until about the the 24th lol

Based on our last trip last year, I would estimate we spent just under $500 between the four of us and we were there for three weeks.

we used to really go all out on shopping at WDW but we have toned things down in recent trips. DS & I really used to go into the pin collecting but the price of the pins has jumped so much that we have toned that down to. Generally, we will get one or two items now and call it good. I think the last trip I bought Mickey measuring cups and a pin. We really miss the resort specific merchandise. We will be on a misison to find Fort Wilderness license plate surrounds for the Truck and Travel trailer on our next trip. DH likes a particular style of sweat shirt that they sometimes have, it is cardigan like with a zipper and no hood. They are well made, one of them he has had now for two or three years. He likes clothing that can make a long-term committment! LOL We like to find a new Christmas ornament for the tree. But that is about it. So I would say less than $300.00.

My shopping is also done and the gifts are all wrapped. When we were in WDW in February I bought some things for family members for Christmas!. In Epcot, a hat for our son, tees, etc. Found key chains in China with names in Chinese on them. Each year I pick up some things for the kitchen for my daughter. One year I got her the measuring spoons, this year its the measuring cups. I always get a dated photo album, one dated pin and a magnet for the fridge. I allow about $500 per trip for shopping in the parks.

I usually bring 800.00 for 10 days between me and my DH DH usually uses some to buy drinks in epcot and the rest is Mine :) I usually always buy a new Dooney Purse which takes a good 300 off that :)

Nothing babe!! We never buy souvenirs at WDW!! Now....we have several Disney themed gifts under our tree, buuuuut not from WDW,

I think in total, we maybe spend $20 on some kind of knickknack, MAYBE if we just have to have it!

At most $100. We really don't buy many things there. Now when I was collecting pins that's a different story. Or when I use to collect Disney stuffed animals. Now that got expensive.

It depends. Most short trips, we spend between $50-200. But NOW we have a son, so I have no idea what we'll end up spending with him along with us (we haven't gone on our first trip with him yet). I shop online at the Disney Store with discounts a lot too. In 2010, we went JUST to buy Christmas ornaments and decorations...that was a few hundred easy just for decorations (yikes!). But we love our tree and daily reminder of our favorite place during this time of year, so it was worth it.

The kids get $100 each for the trip, whether it's 5 days or 12. This money usually comes as a gift from family so it's not really out of our budget. A longer trip doesn't increase the selection of souvenirs to choose from so a longer trip doesn't necessitate more money...just more prudence in spending. How they choose to spend it is up to them and with repeated trips, they know what they have in mind and what they'd like to purchase. I look over the D&B bags while I'm there and then wait for an online sale and an extra promo code until I will purchase. I refuse to pay park prices for things I know I can get on the website. A dated ornament is a must from every trip, and often some type of picture frame you can't buy online-the unique ones. We always get at least one resort-specific item to commemorate our trip. My favorite: a sketched print from CBR, matted and framed. Absolutely beautiful and reminds us of one of our favorite places everytime we look at it.

It probably sounds terrible but we really don't go with a budget in mind, however, we aren't ones to spend excessively anyway. The trip is costly enough.

The kiddies each get $200 to buy whatever they want. The wifey and myself usually buy stuff for the house. Our next trip the plan is flat wear and dishes how ever much that will cost. And we go during our anniversary and next trip will be 15 yrs so that will be some coin also. But on average around a grand each trip.

$50-150 max and usually on the very low end of that. When I was younger, there was more things that appealed to me unsurprisingly so I'm sure my parents spent a mint then. Now, I see most of what is sold is unfortunately cheap plastic way overpriced knick-knacks. I will generally get a small snow globe of some kind, one plush generally themed to Pooh, a magnet or two, and mug. And that is it.

depends usually a couple hundred. However, this year, since when i go in dec. it will be my 5th trip in a year, i have curtailed a bit. It will be stuff from the holidays most likely.
