Anybody just jump in your car and go to Disney???

Few years back we were sitting around watching a Disney video and I said I am in need of a Disney fix...

I told wife and kids they have 30 minutes to pack for the weekend and we gased up our car and drove 4 hours to Disney. We found a cheap Motel off of 192 and spent 2 days in WDW...

FUN:sohappy:

Yes! (It only really works if you're within a half day's drive, though.)

I remember skipping school on a Friday morning with a few classmates then calling my Mother from Orlando to tell her I was going to stay over at a "friend's house" that weekend. She is such a trusting woman ... as long as I was back to school Monday morning she didn't worry.

Really, those were the best trips I've ever had. I'd love to have that kind of impulsiveness again.

I only live a couple of hours away so I do that all the time  It's actually my favorite way to do a Disney trip. Not sure why, but doing everything on the fly with no agenda is a lot of fun for me:)

If only I lived 4hrs away...

I'd drive in after work.

I live 14 hrs (straight thru) and have done this....

Funny thing though, my wife was *really* ed when I called her from the MK parking lot to let her know I wouldn't be home...
